Does the Q64 get that many riders that it needs artics regularly, or was that a fluke?

It has a few during the summer, either they have a 40ft shortage or one of the bus op’s does a Q111/113/114 run later.

It could use artics during rush hours and afternoons when Queens College and several high school let out, but 99.9% of the time it's just Orion's.

Although it is a short line, the 64 can definitely used artics at rush hour. The lines for that bus at Continental can easily wrap around the block.
