  5. a question about the back to when it ran to Bedford Park during Rush hours, was Concourse Yard responsible for maintenance there or did it have to backtrack?
  6. A random thought: A man who had a part in getting me into the model railroad/rail fan industry told me how he used to go into Grand Central Terminal at the time of the New York Central's 20th Century Limited during the 1960s when I imagine Grand Central was at its peak. He said he used to feel so intimidated when he walked through the terminal being he was basically the only black kid walking through because lots of wealthy people would ride the 20th Century.
  7. r188, may I get a original R68 exterior sign (Helvetica lettering) 207 Street Manhattan Far Rockaway Queens thanks
  8. an adventure on the LIRR went like this: I rode the Lakeland Bus to Port Authority, then walked to Penn Station to get to the LIRR for a trip to Lynbrook (Trainland). I took a train to Jamaica hoping to transfer to a train to Lynbrook (first mistake). a train from Penn Station came half an hour later, an express to Babylon with the first stop being Lynbrook. Fortune smiles. After getting off at Lynbrook, I start the 5 minute walk to Trainland. My journey is complete, only to find out, upon reaching the front door, the store is closed....for the day Only thing to go right after that was the return trip to New York being right there upon getting back to the station

  10. I'd like to have an R160 exterior M sign saying NASSAU ST LCL, BRIGHTON LCL, CONEY ISLAND, and an interior sign saying 358 PM, TO CONEY ISLAND, THE NEXT STOP IS JAY ST-METROTECH. Thanks Dover
  11. I actually saw a Jersey Cruiser for Academy who's sign actually said "EXPRESS" not "EPRESS"
  12. Remember though, the BM4 is being ran because of political reasons, if it wasn't for that, there would be little to no BM4 service left. I'm leaning more towards BM1 and BM3 riders using the service compared to the 4, because if they noticed whatever ocasional riders get on that trip head down to Gerritsen Beach, they () would say "the hell to that", and just slash that BM4 Now that I realized, that first BM5 trip can also be used as an alternative to the BM2 (since it doesn't run that early). So essentially, both are shorter than the BM1-3, so it's kinda like a half-assed job on providing service to everyone along the BM segments. Who would you be referring to when you say "political"?
  13. I spotted the X21 yesterday afternoon for the first time in New Jersey on my way into the Lincoln Tunnel. 1 D4500CT, 2 D4500s
  14. I thought I heard something about NJT standardizing the bus fleet to 45 footers.
  15. Different font style too. I remember when I went to a Coney Island Yard Open House, I saw a R68 with 68A signs. It was weird
