  1. If the SBS extends to Flushing. Its a good thing and a bad thing.. The good thing is from this layover it can do 2 things.. A) Go down Graham and make the first left on Debevoise than back onto Broadway. B) Turn right on Flushing than another right on Sumner Place for layover. The bad part of the layover is between 3pm and 8pm when everything gets so tight around Broadway. As for the XD40 (additional buses) FB will not receive since the whole order is officially accounted for.
  2. Maybe I'd go 1 step further to possibly say that the last stop should be at the back of Woodhull. Directly pass the B47 bus stop.. At the corner of Marcus Garvey & Park for the accommodations for artics for the 46+. Perfect left turn into Park Avenue (with a separate TSP light) than a slight right onto Broadway.. (However, this is above my paygrade and this type of executive decision would require loss of parking spaces along that corridor and I think Bed-stuy has endured enough trouble when it comes to parking.)
  3. If this is what I'm thinking that the West Farms loans are slowly returning back to Brooklyn starting with 7550. However, very nice spotting on that bus.
  4. That’s a copy! Just 2 questions: 1) Is there a strong possibility that some of the buses heading to CS from MJQ will eventually come towards Flatbush in regards to the mixed fleet? 2) As for the B46 artic implementation. Will the program be temporarily suspended or will it be on schedule with the mixed MJQ/CS fleet along with the new FB fleet? (Since FB is not due for any additional XD40’s for the local)
  5. For those who kept begging when the XD60 delivery will commence. Here’s your answer on top. This order has a lot of kinks that need to be workout. Although this is supposed to be a FB/MCH order. MJQ is supposedly on the table for this also.
  6. The Nova order is definitely delayed. Now that Jamaica is getting more XD40’s some of those NG’s have to go somewhere. Usually JA swaps with Queens Village and Stengel. This is a first that Jamaica is sending buses outside the mainland to Staten Island.
  7. From personal observation. The 60 is the type of route you gotta schedule correct so that it’s interline can connect. Being that the 60 and Q54 are in Fresh Pond the interline seems to be working so far. I’m slightly going off topic for a moment—>. The B52 is now the unofficial B38 with more increased service and i think the 60 may be a close 2nd. However, it’s going to take time for the 60 to reach B52 status.
  8. Ulmer Park or East New York is next after Jamaica for the XD40 order. So as of right now it appears that Flatbush will more than likely retain its RTS until it receives XD60’s. Remember, Ulmer Park would of been done if DOB didn’t shift some of their XD40 buses to West Farms.
  9. Which other depot is supposed to get the displaced NG’s along with Manhattanville?
  10. Random thought of the day. Gun Hill 4542 is training in Downtown Brooklyn today. Just seen it make the turn on Bond Street.
  11. So that I'm clear.. ENY now has 6490-6499, 6502. Correct? Also, will some lower 65xx buses make their way to ENY?
  12. 7747. In service at Fresh Pond. Spotted on the B7 this morning.
  13. Which garage has their allotment of the new order so far and I want to say besides West Farms (which is temporary)?
  14. What the concern? Honestly and truthfully West Farms has bigger fish to fry on than to deal with a transfer to Gleason. Said bus will get transferred in due time. The order is nearly complete.
  15. I’m not the biggest fan of having a B6SBS due to a couple of factors. The route isn’t streamlined enough. Especially in the Flatlands, Canarsie and East New York areas. For one the 6 should travel via Flatlands and Avenue J straight route to Bensonhurst and vice versa. If the line could be streamlined to where the SBS travels strictly on Avenue J in both directions than I personally do see a shot for the 6 to become SBS. Have the local operate on H and possibly give it a new route number (TA is not in the business for this)
  16. Copy. It’s very rare to see a 76xx on the 41 run.
  17. Wow. That’s something very interesting an 76xx bus on the 41. The last time I saw a SBS rolling down Flatbush was a rush hour artic working the 41 than deadheading to the 44 on Empire. Too bad they can’t have a LFSA artic do one trip on the 41 to empire in the morning.
  18. I like the idea about continued travel to Tribeca. I’d put it one step further and have it in Battery Park City. The route has its good points. Heres the thing about Washington and Greenwich Streets. There’s been a considerable amount of construction that’s been popping up as of late now and has hampered the M21 servicing the area.
  19. That’s a copy. How’s the handling of the bus? Haven’t seen the 4 buses in service as of late. The last I saw was 6119 working the 44 about 2 weeks ago.
  20. FB already has the XD40 which operates similar functions as the XD60. However, do drivers technically need the training (YES). Also, maintenance definitely needs the training more b/c within the next 12-18 mos (estimate) XD60’s will be coming into FB and they are going to need to know the ins and outs of the bus in house. I believe extensive work will be done at Grand Avenue CMF.
  21. A little over 5 years too late on that one. The 41SBS is on the table. However, there are some underlying issues that need addressing including construction on Flatbush, and dollar van enforcement. These commuter vans are going to find another way to avoid Flatbush at all costs if they want to survive.
  22. Also remember there is a possibility that the loaned buses could slowly make their way back to Manhattan- TU/100th. I don’t know too much with the effect of having the 1200’s at TU/100th. So far TU/100th has taken in some Flatbush LFSA’s and there’s a possibility that they can take in more along with a Bronx Division depot (West Farms or Kingsbridge).
