  1. 6526 is out in Manhattan also. Working the M102 on Lenox. 6597 also out here in the city.
  2. That’s how they are at Grand Avenue. Its done on most of their lines including the B47
  3. Although it wasn’t mentioned on the actual bus moves. It did get mention on the bus fleet section of the post.
  4. How many more coming. Those 2 buses for training and actual revenue service?
  5. Even swap. 1031 for 1072. Saw 1031 in service yesterday on Church Avenue. I believe the blue print buses are slowly making their way to New York City with completion of this XN60 bus order.
  6. No time soon. Meanwhile has brought if not all of the D4500CT Fleet until late 2019 or early 2020 at the earliest.
  7. OA = Manhattan & Bronx Only (MaBSTOA) Manhattan Bronx Surface Transportation Operating Authority. TA = Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and MCH (Mother Clara Hale-Manhattan Division).
  8. Once a upon of time the B8 ended at Canarsie Plaza. I don’t know if the bus pole is still there on 83rd and Foster. However, I remember vividly that the 8 would go down 83rd. Turn right on Ralph. Stop on Clarendon and turn left unto Beverly. It’s about time to have some form of part-time service for the B8 to Canarsie. I don’t know how i feel bringing the 17 or the 47 in that general area. I feel that the 8 provides direct service. The 17 might work since there is a direct turn to Clarendon/Ditmas from 83rd. As for the 47. Unless there is old route (78) to be returned on Ralph Avenue to help out on the southern most point of the route. I cannot see this going to Canarsie Plaza.
  9. Random thought of the weekend: Flatbush 53xx buses traveling down New York Avenue for the shuttle to Franklin and the Staten Island Division working the shuttle.
  10. That's a copy on that. Can't never underestimate the and their crazy scenarios..
  11. Last I checked. FB’s LFSA’s are heading to West Farms unless something has changed. I’m just speaking from generalization. When the Bronx is short on buses DOB gets buses from Brooklyn to fill the voids.
  12. Everytime that the Bronx is short. They take from Brooklyn. Hopefully when Gun Hill and Kingsbridge get their LFSA’s some of those buses can make that journey back to Brooklyn. But yet again, Brooklyn will always be short.
  13. Look who’s taking the Brooklyn Division buses. (The Bronx). and they cry about not having buses.
  14. Hahahaha. I’ll tell you one thing. Grand Avenue does excellent with the B38 and that’s it. Their practice until they fully artic the line.
  15. That’s a nice line up for them. However, bring SC back to the Brooklyn Division for that to happen. Also, the 84 should of been for Spring Creek from the jump. However, they have space issues for any other routes to come in.
  16. No problem. ENY & FP have been swapping buses as of late. Don’t be surprised if more moves were to happen.
  17. WBP technically doesn’t have room. What route did you have in mind? and what changes would you take based on the current configuration at WBP?
  18. There was talk about a re-construction for Ulmer Park. I mean if that happens it helps out the Division a lot. However, again the TA is not the best with real estate acquisitions. They had the perfect opportunity to get the facility that UPS is occupying on Springfield Boulevard and they blew that (many moons ago). That would of ease a lot in the Queens Division. PS: Yes 2 depots East New York and Spring Creek. However, the decided Spring Creek didn’t belong in the Brooklyn Division therefore its not counted as depot for Brooklyn meanwhile operating Brooklyn routes.
  19. It took so long for the Brooklyn Division to even get on board with artics. GA & JG will ultimately become artic depots before ENY & FB. As the Division as a whole is introduced to more artics definitely expect some routes to receive the conversion. The Bronx Division is a definitely that example with the most recent West Farms with Bx6 and Bx36 artic conversions. Almost all of Gun Hill routes are artic routes and some for Kingsbridge.
  20. Here’s my justification on this. To me I’ve always believed that the 36 should be at FB simply b/c of two things. 1) The deadhead from depot to Nostrand is about 10-15 mins via Avenue U and 2) Direct interline with the 44. Also, I’d possibly extend to Kings Plaza. However, the way the paddle is set up it’s set for Coney Island and thus better for Ulmer Park. The 9 to FB should of been years ago. However, I also think the 4 should be FB also b/c of the easy deadhead to Knapp Street. Again, the way the paddles are set up it’s set up for the Bay Ridge portion of the route. Interesting thought: Many moons ago there was talk about FB moving to Floyd Bennett Field since they have adequate space and possibly a CFM. Brooklyn needs another depot. The Division is a complete zoo. Even re-constructing Ulmer Park (I believe on the next Capital Plan) the Division will get worse before it gets better.
  21. You have an excellent point there. I will tell you right now. The 35 has gotten a significant increase since those artics came on the line. Cabbies are non-existence throughout the day. However, at night some are fighting with the buses for position. They way MaBSOTA operates and the chopping down on the paddles is a all time high especially with depots like MJQ, TU/100th, and MCH (TA) with their artic lines in Manhattan. Like you. I could see that happening at Flatbush, East New York and especially Grand Avenue. (Something they do well at Grand is run buses very late)
  22. Yes. 7 interlines with the 26 at Halsey. Which makes sense for Fresh Pond.
