  1. Not another B43 fiasco. Look what happen the first time when Grand Avenue had both the 43 and 48. Disaster. I guess we are repeating the same issues from 10 years ago. I’m done. Glad that Flatbush, East New York and Ulmer Park aren’t on the rumors list.
  2. Rumor has it that the B43 is leaving Gleason. Any knowledge or truth to this?
  3. The service would have to be operated by Flatbush as Ulmer Park drivers aren’t trained to drive artics. Also, Flatbush has rush hours (PM) for the B1.
  4. First. For the 8,632,587,124 time. Please no more talking about this B44 extension to KCC. It’s very nauseous and all these other bus combinations for the B1 and the B49 need to be left alone. Let each route figure itself out The B49 does a good job handling itself going to KCC. The line doesn’t need nor warrant artics. The route isn’t long unlike the other major Flatbush lines of the B41, B44, B46 which all need artics. The B1 has its own issues and plus Ulmer Park needs major construction in order to have artics.
  5. You did indicate that things would be a bit crazy in regards to moves. However, just a bit confused with 1025, 1026, 1031-1034 over to Gleason. I would think those would stay at WF since the Bx36 artic conversion starts Sunday. Could 7572's possible move to FB mean Quill might be off the board for XD40's?
  6. IMO. I don’t think we will ever have any good regional transportation while Liberty Bus- Westchester, TOR Rockland, Dutchess County Transit and Orange County are all in business. Some bus service could solve the problems up north.
  7. This is something that the needs to tap in. I’d want that dog fight with Westchester. But is that something the wants? Sheesh, have them steal parts of the Hudson branch of MNRR with some good marketing of Super Expresses from Yonkers, Bronxville, White Plains to Manhattan.
  8. I agree. I didn’t think to mention Cross County plus the deadhead to Yonkers Depot isn’t far at all. Definitely take from the fleetwood stop for sure.
  9. Do you terminate the 4 at Getty Square with the BxM3 or elsewhere in Yonkers? Perhaps Central & Yonkers Avenue. (Thruway service Road)
  10. The changes of the I tell you. I could guess one thing. Another change on the order.
  11. Very rare with Fresh Pond. Only East New York running RTS mostly.
  12. Too bad Brooklyn Division rarely gets 30x244 or 30x215 billboards. However, this morning spotted some Fresh Pond and East New York buses with a Sprint PCS 30x215 billboard.
  13. However, the 57 is a pretty long route to Maspeth. However, I will not dis-credit the fact it does a good job on the Red-Hook side of things. 71 and 75 definitely to return IMO. Have the 75 help out 61. 57 & 61 usually get packed in Downtown Brooklyn. At least by having the 75 only on Weekdays it could alleviate some overcrowding. If the 75 could be marketed effectively than I can see it’s return. However, not on same routing as pre-2010.
  14. I’d bring back 75 under the condition that it helps out 61 more or less the 57. I wish there was a way that the 77 could also get tied in. However, as you stated the 75 would be a hard sell to return. However, with the population of Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, and Red Hook. You need the 71, 75 definitely. 77 (toss up). Sometime later this week I will try to draw up 3 separate maps.
  15. Not happening. SBS is roughly 90 mins to the Junction from WBP.
  16. ..... Not accurate That schedule doesn’t take account for traffic conditions.
  17. 1) My experience NB to Williamsburg from Flatbush/Nostrand- Travel time: up to 75 mins. Account for all congestion on Rogers Avenue between Beverley Road and Pacific Street. Also congestion between Bedford/Lafayette and Division Avenue 2) These days we have to take it as-is with the scheduling with the as schedules aren’t accurate. No bus is on time. No train is on time. Railroads are another story. 3) Traffic congestion will be our biggest flaw in New York City. Why? People are ditching the buses for their cars + übers, lyfts, via, juno, and all the other taxi and FHV apps. What the did to Staten Island is disgusting (didn’t want to mention it). However, it fits the discussion on how the rest of the city is going to look when the re-design is thru. 4) Newcomers to NYCTF. Base your opinions on your own experiences. #fin
  18. Please give me a proper explanation that the SBS44 is a failure. That’s like saying the M15SBS iS a failure b/c of SAS. The headway’s on the 44SBS need to get better and that’s something that Flatbush management needs to handle. Also, in New York City the average travel time for SBS buses may be accurate in The Bronx. However, for Manhattan and Brooklyn which has more traffic not disputing The Bronx you tend to sit in traffic longer. If we want faster buses enforcement is needed. Why can’t PD work in conjunction with NYPD to enforce bus lanes and ticket violators? I understand that PD’s jurisdiction is the LIRR and Metro-North. However, station some cops on bus lanes so that buses can flow.
  19. I’ll say this. The B71 and B75 both need to be reinstated. Red Hook is booming along with the surrounding areas of Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill. Last checked that CB6 is working on a proposal to bring back the B71. However, I think the 75 deserves a 2nd shot to alleviate the overloads of the 61 and 57 in Red Hook. Park Slope, Red Hook, Downtown- Sands Street.
  20. To be fair. I’ve done the 2x from WBP to Emmons via SBS. During that day I can tell you for a fact it’s over 95+ min very close to 2 hours when you account for double parking and deliveries along Nostrand (Don’t debate me). Not the norm for an SBS. I don’t even think the M15SBS is that long from 125th and 2nd to South Ferry. #carryon. PS: my norm is WBP to Flatbush/Nostrand. 90 mins with traffic. Late evenings 65-70 mins.
  21. Sign mismanagement by the Department of Transportation.
  22. Yes sir. 2hrs 10 mins with traffic. A normal Sheepshead Bay to Williamsburg trip averages under 2 hrs. Doesn’t matter if it’s the local or SBS. I Don’t buy the notion that it is a 60 min trip from WBP to Sheepshead/KCC especially during the day. Leave the 44 alone and not extend to KCC. This extension will NOT benefit anyone and plus future elimination of the B49.
  23. That is correct. Just leave the 44 as is. Sometimes I even have a problem with the SBS going to Emmons. The 44 to Emmons should be late nights and weekends only. You already have the 4 and the 36 in the immediate areas already and both should of been FB territory a long time ago due to terminal proximity and deadhead to depot.
