  1. There’s something about this Dekalb Avenue SBS I really don’t like. We’re talking about a central part of Brooklyn where congestion is bad and fare evasion is rampant. If this dedicated SBS made a few stops in Ridgewood/Maspeth to the BQE into Downtown Brooklyn than I’d buy it. (I thought that was the original plan) The biggest issue I have is the B6. A) Fully duplicating the B82 B) There’s a portion of Glenwood Road that can be used exclusively for the B6 in Canarsie C) As East New York mentioned to me earlier is the dwell times along the 6.
  2. The B6 is going to be interesting. I’d like to see a re-route around the South Shore area for buses to have a direct route to Rockaway Parkway via Glenwood heading towards East New York. Have the locals go via Flatlands. However, the bus grid won’t allow that. The 4700’s. Out of the question. This has been discussed dozens of times. MTA wants new fleet only for the SBS.
  3. Very interesting. Bergen Beach folk will be fuming if no SBS plus they get a new route only to Junction. If a new route is involved. Have it go to Lincoln Road.
  4. I like the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Staten Island Division proposals for SBS. Concerns i have are following. 1) Will Staten Island Division finally jump on the artic bandwagon for the S90? 2) Although it is too early to tell. How will the B15 be evaluated because if it’s the current route for airport they better scrap it and create a new route. 3) M96- Quill or MHV for the SBS? 4) and finally B41 should of been SBS way before the 44/46. Glad that 41 will get SBS. Just a matter of time.
  5. Here’s the thing with the B6. Yes UP have excellent drivers who handle the line. However, the 6 is suffering with traffic woes on Avenue J and Bay Parkway. Some stops can use elimination in favor of the local. Right now. Too early to tell for the B6!
  6. Just spotted 377 Jackie Gleason with a driver side window wrap. For the photographers. Bus is on the B43 sitting at Lincoln Road.
  7. Surprised that you mentioned those buses. They haven’t made the trip back to Brooklyn?
  8. .... Commuter tax needs to be re-instated at once but you know the good folks of Long Island and Upstate won’t have it. SMDH. We have so many bus orders to fill before the end of 2021. I wonder how that’s going to go. I’ll tell you right now. I’m not paying in excess of $3.25 for lousy and bulls**t bus service and the and DOT can’t fix.
  9. Prepare for extreme budget cuts and longer waits.
  10. @Interested Rider: The only reason I got those 2 articles from Kings County Politics is that it relates to the current conversation. However, just want to be clear with you. I'm not the biggest fan getting any information from Kings County Politics unless it has some VALID relation to the transportation being discussed in Brooklyn on certain lines. I'm not to found with the South Brooklyn delegation for a few reasons. That's a conversation for another day. Also, in recent years haven't been found with the delegation of East Flatbush, Canarsie and East New York. When a person like myself that lives in areas served and worked for a few community newspapers on overnight breaking news and politics around said communities there are some thoughts I keep to myself. Thanks for the complement and appreciation. However, please do not include me into any arguments you are trying to prove with certain individuals.
  11. Excellent update. Glad someone from FB realizes that an extension to KCC is not the wisest choice.
  12. Brooklyn Division can no longer get nova LFS due to Maintenance. The last set of nova's currently at FB will be moving once they get the XD60 order. East New York had it last year on a trial run before those buses went to Charleston and Jamaica respectively. So as for Brooklyn seeing a Nova again. Out of the question. The 3rd gems aren't leaving Staten Island anytime soon unless there is a big change indicated by DOB.
  13. This here makes absolutely no sense. All summer FP had any replacements with their current fleet and DOB sends the same inherited buses Fresh Pond already had before sending to East New York. This feels like 2008 all over again.
  14. My guy. Scope out the area. However, there are changes and trips may be longer. Looks like FB got a bus from Gun Hill. Hope the buses sent to MCH come back for the fall pick.
  15. Which stop is being added on Rogers Avenue? I hope it is not Foster Avenue. But also that South Brooklyn delegation isn’t playing any games with the . Took them 5 years to add Avenue R. Also took them sometime to add the Avenue L stop. Still to me. Both stops don’t have any business to be added. However, it is through that delegation shit is getting done and this is why the 44SBS won’t be a true SBS. I’ve said this before the real SBS is in Queens. #fin
  16. While were on the subject of the B44SBS.. Didn't know that a stop on Avenue R is now added.. I guess no more express between Kings Highway and Avenue U. I'm guessing this takes effect either 9/9/18 or 9/16/18. Source: https://www.kingscountypolitics.com/brooklyn-lawmakers-on-the-move-aug-28-2018/ Thoughts on the new B44SBS change?
  17. both 7628 and 7650 are in house at FB. Only missing 7627 and this would complete the FB SBS order?
  18. Or get buses from FB and Jamaica which have most of the RTS load.
  19. According to the alleged rumor, and I COULD BE WRONG (EMPHASIS) that the Q58 and B38 are being consider for artic conversion. Hopefully @East New York, @The Real or even @SevenEleven can elaborate more on this... First off do the 2 lines have the frequencies to even be considered for artic conversion? My next concern is this: The Q58 and B38 are Fresh Pond's heaviest lines and both essentially run within blocks of each other. I understand that the 38 is already split ops with Grand Avenue for the Metro branch. Hopefully, this trade doesn't fall thru. To: @BM5 via Woodhaven: I don't like the 58 & 38 going over to GA simply of the reasons you stated and I fully agree. However, if this alleged rumor is true Brooklyn Division will be a total mess for years to come. Throw in the B43 into the mix and tell me what you think about that?
  20. Mind you the Q58 runs in front of Fresh Pond. Take away the 58 and it’s gonna be screwed. I promise you that.
  21. Again, that's if the wants to really have a dog fight with Westchester and Liberty lines. My thing is that has MNRR services out in Westchester. Why not have the BxM4 extend to CCSC, get customers from Bronxville, Fleetwood Stations, Casino/Raceway. Hit down the thruway into Manhattan. All for $6.50.
  22. Please. and Please. Don’t need the 43 leaving Gleason. It does a great job on that route. I seen an artic training along the 43 not too long ago. Hopefully some spares could see the 43, 63, 68 and 8. Returning it via Grand will create HELL. But again, we wait and see what goes down in the Brooklyn Division.
