  1. Not sure what your post is asking, the upcoming exams list [https://new.mta.info/careers/exam-schedule makes no mention of timekeeping/asst conductor. If you locate the Notice Of Exams, it will tell you the subjects that will be on the exam. But, the details on your post are lacking & inconclusive. Locate the NOE, it will have the exam topics, then perhaps you can go from there.
  2. Interesting to see that this List is still being referenced in some "Trainee" job posts on the TA job boards. Also of note, it appears that the"Transit Management Analyst Trainee" title is now under TWU 100 union, at mabstOA, https://postimg.cc/1fngFNY9 List is in its last 10 months, not sure people on it will really care to take a trainee title at this point. It's been a long time.
  3. Hit you with a reply on PM,, good luck in the new year on this attempt
  4. Seems as well there is a new upcoming Exam #3609 that is in application stages: Structure Maintainer (Group E) Exam Number: 3609 Agency: New York City Transit Application Period: 12/1/2022-1/15/2023 https://new.mta.info/document/101286
  5. Your data set for this exam is there, but you're probably entering the incorrect search criteria, https://data.cityofnewyork.us/City-Government/Civil-Service-List-Certification/a9md-ynri/data, enter 08604 run/enter then click filter, add filter "exam # is , set to 08604" then run/enter. It should deliver back the certification data, there has not been a certification since 2/18/2021. Now this issue might be that this list is no longer "Active" here is the link for active lists https://data.cityofnewyork.us/City-Government/Civil-Service-List-Active-/vx8i-nprf/data here your would enter 8604 and you would get no results, as this list may be Expired. you can test by searching for an known active list like say 7606, which will deliver results. So, in reality if the list is not active, you cannot re-instate to it, as it doesn't exist. Also, it appears, that it is showing on here.. https://data.cityofnewyork.us/City-Government/Civil-Service-List-Terminated-/qu8g-sxqf/data Which is the "Terminated Lists" data set, you can search for 8604 seems this list got terminated on 8/17/2022. Nothing you can do against a terminated list.
  6. I suspect you won't get much of a response until they send out an NOR (notice of results) and thereby establish a list of eligible candidates. The process from test date to list establishment can be 6-18 months depending on many circumstances. Once a list is established, then you will wait for it to get "certified" whereby they'll begin to call candidates for possible job/position appointments. Stay patient, as with most things MT@..it Might Take Awhile!
  7. By simply filling out that Dual form you'll have to go through layers of management scrutiny. And it's simply at times just not a good look, nor does it help that you'll likely have to wait for a no or no go on it. At the same time they might claim a conflict of interest being that it's NJT. It's a tough sell, and it's all in their hands. While it may seem like a simple thing on your end, they likely will make it quite complicated and to your detriment. Thread carefully with it.
  8. It appears that the Exam 7606 List for Transit Management Analyst Trainee, is no longer ACTIVE. This list has reached it's expiration,,BUT.. there was one last final Certification [79231] off of it on 11/4/2022, for which almost all of the candidates were certified, for the possibility of what is listed as 10 vacancies. The Certification expires on 12/12/22. Perhaps, some will get contacted at the end here, but at this point 4 years have elapsed & this list over that time had 10 certifications. Not sure any were actually hired off this list [hiring freeze+Covid] This title did however allow for candidates that got hired to elevate to Assistant Transit Management Analyst after 1 year in the Trainee title. Last reported pay for Transit Management Analyst Trainee was $52,307. This was an unfortunate test/title, it got established right as a hiring freeze was implemented, then onto 2 years the covid hit, so not much really good came of this one...but it appears a 1 year extension is showing on the data lists. So maybe there's hope still left for those wanting to get in off this list..... *****There is a column in the data sets that appears to extend this List through 11/14/2023*****
  9. Put no material weight in anything you see in the status columns. Simply put, you apply, then await for an email for confirmation of interest from the HR side. The hiring process, is quite long, with a huge amount of internal steps to get a candidate from apply process to contact & interview stage. Apply in excess, because it is a matter of chance/s in many cases. If you qualify, apply! Increase your odds as much as you can & then don't think about it until you have to (in the event of a contact back of interest) Good Luck as well.
  10. How long was the duration from which you got a "conditional offer" to them actually calling you in for "final processing"? Congrats on the hopeful final step there.
  11. This is data you can readily retrieve. Using this link https://data.cityofnewyork.us/City-Government/Civil-Service-List-Certification/a9md-ynri Click View Data, let it load, on the right side you will see a search bar that says "Find In This Data Set", there enter the exam you are looking for with a 0 in front of it, ex 7604 would be 07604, at that point it will filter the data to that exam [it's not always super accurate, so I would then suggest using the Filter tab, add a filter condition of again the Exam Number. You will notice the returned data sets will have a column labeled "Request Date" now the next thing to do is to click Export & export the data to CSV/Excel & open it up in Excel, there you can filter & sort by the dates to see exactly how often they certify/request out of DCAS for any exam. Hope that helps a bit, if you don't have excel, likely it could open in some other programs like OpenDocs or any online spreadsheet program.
  12. I'm not on this particular list, but saw you were able to get some data points off the automated system that I hadn't seen before. So I threw the question your way. I tried the same method on the dcas automated for several analyst Eligible Lists, but were not able to get the "last # appointed" out of the system. I take it that it varies between exams/lists what the system is able to kick back. Still, I think the info you provided may help many in their gather of info off that system.
  13. So when you interviewed, did they specify of which exam/list they were pooling you from? Seems like with the either or scenario, it leaves it to their designation as to which title to give to a candidate. With the Associate one, I take it you have transit/transportation prior experience, as they had eliminated many who took the exam & passed who didn't have that 1 year of transit experience *unfortunate, weird rule, as at any point from test to establishment, individuals could have attained that 1 year of experience. Also feel anyone that snuck through without the 1 year, and ended up on the list may get issues to clear pre-hire background for Associate *. Your list numbers are so low that essentially it's just a matter of time before you'll get an appointment. There are only so few candidates in the pools & some likely are already in NYCT or city. There is a big separation in pay between the two titles, so it'll be an interesting thought experiment to think if one is offered the Assistant title vs the Associate. I would think & wonder if taking one staggers the possibility of the other. All these positions have a 1 year probationary period, so it's something to think about. Ideally they pull you off the Associate list. Good Luck, please keep the board posted on any progress.
  14. This I take it was the Analyst Trainee 7606 Exam from 2017, which is 6 months away from expiry. How long ago was it that you interviewed? It seemed like that list got established, then there was the internal hiring freeze and then later bad boy covid came through. To my knowledge no one got hired off that list. They had some initial in house hiring pools, but don't think anything came of the list. There were a few certifications early on as per the board here: https://www.nyctransitforums.com/topic/50364-transit-management-analyst-trainee-exam-7606/ All interviews are horrible until they net a positive result , so no worries there. Hang with it. Good Luck//
  15. Think it's important to realize that the process is not rapid, it's something that requires patience & has so many layers. Getting to the point of interview is an astonishing feat in itself. If selected by the groups you interviewed with, it's HR that will reach out to you. Which then begins the next steps in the winding road. If you don't hear back then likely they selected another from the pool. You probably could reach out to those that interviewed you at a time duration & ask if you were selected from the interview and forwarded onto HR. Long Process, Just got to stick with it & hope for the best. Those two lists you mentioned have a very low eligible candidate pool, which is likely even lower due to those already there or in other city positions...Good Luck.. Out of curiosity, were you interviewing for positions under Assistant or under Associate, as these are two independent titles.
  16. Thanks for all the details & info you provided. Sure it will help some along the way.
  17. Hey Starlight, curious how you were able to get that info out of the automated system. When one dials in, it prompts for SS#, then exam #, and then just says "you are on the list" and really has no information past that. Can you map out how you were able to get the "last # appointed" out of the automated system. That likely would be a very valuable piece of info for many on their respective exams/lists. I'm wondering as well if there's a method to find out last appointed using the datasets. Thanks in advance if you can provide any info on that.
  18. Interesting info, so it's possible that on the first call to pre-employment one may not have had the vaccine at that point, but they allow time for someone to get it done. I was wondering about this, if you have to show up at that first pre-employment with vax credentials, or if they would allow for you to get it further down in the process. I guess with the 1 shot, J&J it's probably the quickest turnover to get "fully" clear of that requirement, but there's been some notable cautions with that particular vax. I see most of the job postings state that the requirement has to be cleared prior to one's start date. So that perhaps gives the flex in time through the pre-employment process. Good info again, Thx!
  19. Guess what you're trying to equate is this: 60 [questions], 100 points max total. 100 divided by 60 = 1.67 points per question 70% passing, is 42 correct out of 60, (42 divided by 60) 42*1.67 [point per]=70.14 So in your 40/20 split, 40*1.67= 66.80 total points This is of course with each question being equal weighted value to ones' total score, guess that would be in the NOE.
  20. Great to hear, some of these exams seem to sit dormant for years before they even get to be an established list. So much can change in the long duration, but it's certainly good to see positive outcomes that emerge eventually. Seems many say the hard part is just getting in, if the major challenge is that, then you are well on your way. Thanks for all the nuggets of info. what was the duration of time from the 1st pre-employment day, to the 2nd/final pre-employment day? and then to your 1st day starting/ Thanks again.
  21. Hey Merc, Just curious, how much much time did they give you on notice to show up? Guessing they emailed and said show up at a certain date/time, but how much advance notice did you get to your actual appointment.? Also, is an official job offer presented at the pre-employment, or via email, or is that something that occurs when pre-employment is finally complete? Thanks in Advance.
  22. Thanks so much for the insight Lexy, seems like it's a procedure than comes in phases. And I guess at each phase one has just provide them with what they request, then wait, and give them anything else they require until it gets to that point to get appointed/sworn in on the position/title. Happy to see that even after 6 years, that the exams can be productive towards a full time in title position. I guess at the final stages of getting say employee IDs, start date etc they also provide that worker benefit MetroCard? Or is that integrated into the Worker ID? Again, thank you for the details. I'm sure many will read it & get a better understanding of the process & maneuverings once the ball starts rolling. Good luck with the new position & the future exam.
  23. Yeah, I was hoping you could share what that "getting" hired off the eligible list experience was like. So the interest was more towards, the position you got hired for, and not directly in relation to the MN Ticket Seller exam. There are some individuals that are at the interview stage & really are not sure what the next process/steps & timing are, so thought you could share. Glad to see that a exam from 2016, has paid off, things do take a while Good Luck!!
  24. Could you describe what the process was with getting hired off a eligible list? As in, how long the process was from them calling, then interviewing then what occurs? Do they present a formal offer letter for employment? And after you accepted, what's that process? Do they have some sort of on-boarding over at 180 Livingston? Thanks for any info in advance. Their hiring process is a bit mysterious.
