  1. Academy's 21000s are coming! They're white instead of gray. 21282 is delivered.
  2. Not sure. I just know that Oradell got a bunch of new 45's recently (most likely temporary until 22000s arrive), and Fairview got some 9000s (with some of their D4000s being retired).
  3. A number of Suburban Transit's 17000s as well as some unpainted 21000s (I saw 21270 & 21275) parked in a lot with some school buses off Jersey Ave in New Brunswick, not too far from the Suburban Transit garage. Wonder what they're there for.
  4. Oradell new MCI roster as of 7/23 (from FB post): 20062, 20067, 20087, 21009-21010, 21075-21083, 21085-21088, 21091, 21099, 21178-21179, 21184, 21191-21197
  5. Based on a FB video, it looks like Academy's 19000s (19038-19067) also have lavs. This would mean all 60 lavs have been delivered.
  6. AFAIK Academy's 21xxx (21277-21334) are still not yet built. I think it's still possible NJT decides to reassign them to NJT instead to provide buses for Oradell as well as garages that donated D4500CTs to them. We expected 21191-21240 to be assigned to Wayne at first, but turns out 21198 and up went to Coach USA, so I wouldn't rule out such a change again.
  7. Anyone know the reason behind the massive MCI switching? It seems like all the South Jersey buses are coming up north, while North Jersey buses are going south. Pretty much every garage that has MCIs in the 2016-2022 order were affected. Wayne is getting 18000s while some of Wayne's 19000s are going South. What's the reason behind all this swapping? I'm guessing it has to do with Oradell getting new 45's transferred in from other garages, but that doesn't explain the switching between other garages. My guess is that garages that lost a lot of their buses to Oradell will get 22000s next year.
  8. My guess is they will get 22000s next year as well as buses from the upcoming 172 bus order. There are still 30 lavs left in the current MCI order, and they would probably go to Meadowlands.
  9. Lots of transfers today. 7133, 7134, 7136, 7167-7168, 7171, 7178, 9034-9036, 9038-9039, 9043-9044, 9051-9052, 18002, 18005, 18007-18009, 18127-18128 19138, 19140-19141 to Wayne. 17063 (ex-Saddle River) to Egg Harbor. 17064-17066 (ex-Saddle River), 19070-19075 to Newton Ave. 17067 (ex-Saddle River), 19076 to Washington Twp. (information according to a FB post)
  10. Update: looks like several 18000s transferred to Wayne, which is why.
  11. Buses have been weird today...there's been 18000s tracking on Wayne routes, such as 18009 on the 195. 18007 and 18005 were also tracking on the 161 and 192, respectively.
  12. From what I've heard a large number of 21xxx and 20xxx from Meadowlands, Howell, and Ironbound will be transferring to Oradell.
  13. Various Suburban Transit 21000s. A lot of them (as well as Rockland units) are still at Suburban Transit's garage as of 6/20. 21262: 21248: 21249:
  14. More updates: All buses are in service except 37003 and 37007. Both units were spotted at Stout's facility. 37007 now has NJ plates and 4 pairs of rear lights. 37003 has been inspected for several months now, but only has 3 pairs of rear lights. Same goes for 37002, which is in service now but also only has 3 pairs of rear lights. 37002, 37003, and 37007 are all unpainted and completely white.
  15. 9037 black paint 7493 and 8895 spotted at County Auto Wreckers recently
  16. I guess Egg Harbor and Washington Twp wound need MCIs the most, so probably most of the 22000s will go to them.
  17. Update on the ex-Saddle River 17000s: According to a FB post, 17066 is at Newton Ave.
  18. So it looks like New Flyer has won the bid, and the prototype will arrive in 2022.
  19. It looks like some of their NJT D4500CTs have been given new plates. 17089 and 17119, which I saw on the 33 today, both had AX plates instead of their original AT plates.
  20. I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion here, but I actually prefer the paintable panels over the stainless steel ones. I like the clean finish it gives the bus, and makes it look much more modern. When comparing stainless steel and paintable panel Coach USA units side by side, the latter look 100x better to my eyes. But again, just my opinion and to each their own.
  21. Probably specified by the operator? Since Rockland's is paintable but Suburban's is stainless steel for 2021.
