yep, i already knew they were going there to kill off the Orion V's, I'm hoping basiley Park gets RTS as well, I also seen 6135 freshly repainted and it had bus labeled on it and i seen others that were freshly repainted with bus labeled

The RTS will most likely replace the Orion V's, they needed buses JFK was short for over 3 months

8843 and 9020 at JFK, I spotted 8843 on the Q8, 9020 was on the Q41, there are other RTS at JFK as well, btw I seen an RTS OOS at Jamaica looks like that RTS will get scrapped since it was burnt where the last 2 windows are at

those are the retired R42's that were retired in December of 2009

To be Honest the R44's were always in bad shape the only good thing about them was that they were reliable, the TA knew about the Frame Issues long before they made the clear to retire them to this day the is still slapping itself in the face for the retirement of the Phase II R32's due to the fact they still have to deal with R42 equipment, the whole replacement process was a mess if anything the R40M's were the Best performing out of All and it was very stupid to get rid of them instead of the R42's, thats why the MTA called the R44's lemons not because of the brake downs st louis did a horrible job building those cars as well as the R36WF cars, The R44's would have been long gone but they didn't want to get rid of them until someone saw that they had very Bad Frame Issues I just Knew the R44's were gonna go i rode them and they were rocking like they were gonna fall off their trucks, a lot of people like them because of sound not because of there looks it may have sounded good but that subway car was a complete piece of Junk

I Knew these cars weren't gonna be awarded this month, and IF the option order cars go to SIRT then the R32's will have to stay longer (about 40-60 cars) they need to make this a Large order to replace the R32-half of the R46's and get it over with it would save money and time

Yeah I sorta agree on you on that but even after they retire from passenger service they will still be used as Work Motors to replace the Redbirds in the B division 10 R32's at CI- 38th st yard already replaced those Redbird work motors, some of the R62A singles will also join for work service to bump off the remaining Redbirds in the A division in the near future but as for the R32 SMS they have no choice you keeping these cars for 6 plus years you gonna have to give them some type of update, Im not gonna lie they should have done this in 2006 when they redid the trucks, but if is spending millions of dollars on this SMS project they mind as well do the interiors and TRUST ME they need an interior make over Half of the interiors look Horrible 3806/07 is number 1 for worst interior and remember the has yet awarded the R179 contract and its December so basically the R32 SMS project is a back up plan, Lets hope they make their up their minds because time is running out and they have to come up with something, the longer the R179's take to order the longer these cars will stay and from the looks of it The is playing games with this New order BTW Word On the STREET Im not certain But the R42's might and I said MIGHT receive the same treatment but Thats a Wait and see because those cars are falling apart

Im going by what the has said and the said they will be adding an addtional 16 trains to the eventhough I find that hard to understand because thats alot of trains thats the point of adding service More TRAINS.

I don't know because 16 trainsets are gonna get added, thats 128 cars (8 car trains) they are gonna need some extras As for the R44's I don't care if they don't comeback because their garbage but they are gonna need atleast 6-8 more trains because i still think they are gonna need a few R32's to full in the blank, If the R42's are not listed for SMS they might retire before 2017, they look bad and i did hear something regarding the R42's but we don't know about their future

I knew the R44's were going bye bye because of they frame issues but don't hold your breath on the R44's im just sayin you might see them again, btw Half of these R32's will not stay on the after the summer when the gets its extra trains they will be comming off the (J)/(M) but anyway they are here to stay for a few more years what do you expect Budd built some good railcars and this is why we need American builders back in the railcar business, im tierd of this junk from other countries, Its sad that the R160's look like they are 15 years old, to everyone be glad you still have R32's still running point blank

Add this to the CNG Fleet 7216,18 and 19, 9857,9923 to LIB Mitchell Feild 9923 just got in, It was on the N6

Ok Rockville Centre has these orion V's as well 9827,9846,9848 I rode 9827 on the N25, 9848 was on the N15, I saw 9846 on the N32

add 716 to the Mix I rode it on the N78 earlier

add 714,718 and 724 at MF 714 was on the N6 LTD, 724 is on the N16 and 718 is on the N24 Happy hunting

I spotted a few more this afternoon, 9924,9991,9908 and there were others in the depot a 1998 Orion V CNG as well as 9991 is also a 1998 unit

Ok Here is the numbers for the CP orion V CNG's at LIB, 9862,9883 (this one was signed up as N20),9912,9922 and 9926 I know theres others and i did see others but they were too far in the back for me to see the numbers
