I doubt they will change the motors of the R142A, It would be a total waste of money, to me they will be the same just with the added B car along with the 23 Brand New R188's

I think QV's 6400's will be placed elsewhere Most Likeley: ENY to replace their 1995/6 Novas or CS to replace their 600's (I doubt it) or MTA Bus Mainly Basiley Park and LGA to replace their ex BL 05's (this was a plan back in 2009 to replace the remaining 1990 TMC's (63/6400's) but i doubt this is happening as well) or even jamaica Depot ( I did see one in training in the spring of this year at Jamaica Depot) to replace some of their remaining older RTS but I know QV will give up their Hybirds just to Balance the Fleet age

As for the R160's the only ones that are doing fine are the ones in ENY, The R160's do have alot of problems because i see it everyday As for the R179's the is expected to award a builder by January 2012 (been Pushed back again for the ones WHO THOUGHT they were to be awarded now are wrong) But here's the thing the government, they don't want to fund transit agencies so this Order Might Be affected by this.

The ONLY R160's that are doing Perfect is the ENY ones, The Jamaica ones are alright but they have their problems, The R160's from CI are not bad and you guys can't outspeak a Train operator so quit it, I been on R32's that run good and with problems The R160's run like shit sometimes just like other subway cars.

To Be Honest I think the is going to get the R62A's, they already have R62A's for the shuttle at the Jermone yard, so it would make the most sense to give the the R62A's and send the later R142A's to the along with the R142's, this would make the most sense because the only has 1 terminal in both directions thats Utica ave and Woodlawn and late nights New Lots.

yeah, they are in a shitty situation right now, but I hope they can get it together, they have to many orders, they got the R188's, The M8's the PA-5's and a Huge order for DC Metro so the're hands are tied at the moment, the MTA might just wait and just make the R211 a very Huge Order, Plus the R42's might go sooner because of their shitty performance
