On top of that, the fiberglass/composite body materials used to build the Xcelsior makes them even worse when it comes to vehicular accidents.

Every new bus gets beat up in NYC especially with our f**ked up roads...that's kind of a moot point. All you're looking at are the exterior panels and stuff, but from how they are built in the underbody, the LFSs are far better at that. The LFSs are built with Stainless Steel frames, which makes them last longer(and also why they cost more) while the Xcelsiors are built with Carbon Steel....which makes them rusts a whole lot faster.

The composite body material on the Xcelsiors won't make it last long at all. All the composite body is good for is fuel savings, that's it.

LFSs definitely aren't cheap. If you wanna talk about cheap, look at them Xcelsiors, particularly the 7000s. Those are the worst buses we've ever received. Those LFSs ride so much better than those XDs. The 4800s are better than the 7000s with the exception of the sunroof.

Not even 350. A bridge camera or a decent point and shoot can perform well at night. It's not about the camera, it's how you use it.
