I don't remember the exact planes (I was too busy either eating, sleeping or freaking out about the damn turbulence, but I'll list some trips taken and the airlines:

-JFK to FCO (Leonardo da Vinci International Airport) (Rome Italy) - Delta

-FCO to FLR (Florence Airport, Peretola) (Florence, Italy) - Alitalia

-FCO to FRA (Frankfurt am Main Airport) (Frankfurt, Germany) - Alitalia

    -FRA to JFK - Lufthansa

Since you’ve been to Italy, you’ve most likely been on a 767 or 777 (the planes with two aisles).

It still baffles me how the (G) terminated there for years and it took construction at the station for (G) trains to be extended back to Church Ave. It makes me wonder if they didn’t need to do that construction would the (G) still be terminating at Smith/ 9th Street.

They were originally going to cut the (G) back to Smith-9 Sts once the Culver Viaduct rehab was complete but, it stayed at Church Av due to a lot of push and advocation from Park Slope residents.

Plus, the structure needed repairs, so not doing it wasn’t an option.

  4. Depends on the series.

    My personal favorites:

    Naughty Dog:

    Crash Bandicoot series

    Jak & Daxter series

    Insomniac:

    All three Spyro games

    Nintendo:

    Most Super Mario SNES games

    Most N64 games (Banjo-Kazooie, DK64, Yoshi’s Story, etc)

EA: Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005)

    Square Enix:

    Final Fantasy X

  5. Not sure if any of you guys are into aircraft, but what are some trips you’ve taken to any airports with any specific plane?

    My trips:

    JetBlue:

     A320/321: JFK-JAX, JFK-MCO, JFK-SDQ

    American/Envoy:

    EMB-145: PHL-LGA

    A321: DFW ▶️ LGA

    B737: JFK-CUN, JFK-DFW, EWR-DFW

    B777: DFW ▶️ JFK

For those who aren’t familiar with the airport codes listed above:

    JFK: New York-Kennedy

    LGA: New York-LaGuardia

    EWR: Newark, NJ

    DFW: Dallas/Fort Worth, TX

    PHL: Philadelphia, PA

    JAX: Jacksonville, FL

    MCO: Orlando, FL

    CUN: Cancun, Mexico

    SDQ: Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

  6. S51:  Current ridership and headways aren’t enough to warrant AM-S81 service. You don’t want people waiting 15-20 minutes at local stops.

S59: You’re underestimating ridership south of the mall. While it isn’t sky-high, buses don’t exactly carry air as I’ve seen northbound S59s with a fully seated load pulling into ETC. Remember, there are people going past the mall in both directions.

I still don't understand why NJT doesn't have a reserve/storage fleet. It's laughable that Nabi suburbans are on artic routed 13 and 39. It tells you how very short of buses they have and I guess some of their artics are beat up, therefore in the shop. Passengers are getting a special ride on those buses. Let's hope they know where the stop request push button is located

I guess it’s better to have a suburban bus cover a trip than to leave it missing and have passengers overcrowd the next bus. A few of their artics were in accidents not too long ago. I remember someone mentioning it here.

It also happens in reverse. Yesterday evening, I caught 6392 on the 107X heading home.

  10. As it was said earlier, we need to stop advocating or proposing service cuts. We already deal with horrendous service levels on some lines, so why do some posters here feel the need to reduce service as a means of fixing it? The system is far from perfect, however it can and should be improved without eliminating lines as a first choice.

Just because someone might think the part time services such as the (B)(C)(M)(W)(3)(5) are “useless”, it doesn’t mean they should be drastically altered, have their service levels reduced, or just discontinued altogether. The lines mentioned above do play important roles.

I’m pretty sure he was referring to the R179 on the (C) at the end of the video.

    See below.

Exactly. I was referring to the C. Although, I was surprised to see all those r160 M trains running on CPW.

I'll be in back in NYC. Will the M continue to run along CPW in future weekends?

Also, thanks @mine248 for sharing the latest update on the 10 car r179's. How many 10 car r179's are in total. (delivered plus testing/in service)?

My mistake. I misread your post. As for the (M) along CPW, it only ran up there as a supplement due to the (1)(2)(3) GO. If anyone is wondering, no, it will not become a normal thing.

I found an interesting r179 video on YouTube. I left NYC a few days ago (summer vacation) and I'm still out of town and I found this r179 video with the M trains running on CPW?? That's kind of odd. Lol!!

    Anyways enjoy the clip.

Bro, the (M) trains in that video are all R160s. The only R179 is the (C) towards the end.

Interesting service plan. IDG why (B) didn’t run to Sheepshead Bay and was replaced by <Q>, or why (D) wasn’t short-turn to 86th St in favor of (brownM). Even if it was before moving (D) from Brighton, seems like this was doing more changes than necessary just because.

IIRC, the (B)(D) tracks on the Manhattan Bridge were still undergoing repairs, so there was no way to run either service into Brooklyn.
