LGA is back to what it was pre-MTA bus---a dumping ground. LGA, where old buses go to die.
Ahuh ahuh.

What is the suspension? Is it possible for you to show me a picture of the suspension/what LRG is talking about?
I think suspension consists of springs to provide a less bumpy ride (when a bus seems to bounce, there is suspension)

They already are at MTA Bus ECH depot..... If you guys think LGA will get 6000s, um no not happening.
Yes yes they dont need to wreck the 6000s more lol.

I think the R38s were retired because there were less than 200 of them and the R32's being all stainless steel were holding up better. Ideally they should've kept the R38s a little longer and retired the R40s and R42s first as their roofs look much worse. R40Ms were pretty good, I didn't think they should have retired all of them before the R42s, imo.
I heard the R40A straight-end cars had better MDBFs than the current R42s.

^^^ And to add on, due to the R32s traveling underground all the time, where the air can become stiff in hot periods (yes yes machines need a little breeze too).

What's the status of the new 5658 (5656's rear and 5658's front)?

why are theses swaps happening 5864, 5867, 5888 --- OH to WF 5938, 5957, 5961 WF to OH
Apparently, it's some kind of "mileage" swap.

They're retired.
True, but you never know what the MTA will do with em.

Confirmed 8809 and 8813 at LGA. They are already relabeled. Also, on a side note, 1862, 1881, and 6243 towed off MTA property from ECH a little while ago.
6243????

we ALL know that... but being that they arent physically AT spring creek.... shouldnt they be added to the Roster... IE:extras on loan section
Spring Creek C40LF's here until further notice
Not necessary, they will be returning in like 2-3 months time, which can elapse quickly.

The LFS-A order is complete. RIP to the 1000-series and 5000-series D60s that did not make it to 2013 and were retired then lol.

So Yorkshire Towers at 86th St is suing the MTA over station entrance placement, even after their suit was dismissed two years ago...

What happened to 3548?
Also a fire (but not here)

What do all these buses have in common?
Spontaneous Combustion
(minus 9865)
Would the numbers of the buses shown be (left to right): 9317, 9865, 7672, 6853, 6290, and then 3548?

Really off topic, but does anyone know what happened to these Orion 5s:
6232, 6250, 6252, 6290, 6308, 6337, 6339
6236
I heard 6290 was involved in a fire, and 6232 had some structural-related problem, but I do not know what happened to the others.

....and with luck, I'll make it through my entire TA career without ever operating an R42 in customer service!
Nice luck there.
