  1. Yeah, but if a bus comes 2-3 minutes earlier, we don't need a complaint from LIBRU or a complaint on this forum every time. If a bus is within 10 minutes (early or late) of its scheduled time, it is because of the lights in Nassau that's it not directly on schedule on the dot. You and LIBRU need to stop blaming the drivers.
  2. 1833 is still white with LIB colors. Just saw it on the N20!
  3. The new programs definitely look better than the old ones!
  4. Yeah, I heard that rumor as well, but then somebody else clarified that it was just a new program like dmouse said.
  5. I just remembered that I never posted the video that I did with a friend of mine:
  6. It goes to Broadway Mall and Hicksville LIRR. Example schedule: http://www.oldwestbury.edu/pdfforms/Fall-2012-Bus-Schedule.pdf
  7. I think its just another handicapped service. Maybe this will help: http://www.newvillageofislandia.com/pages/releases/030612.html
  8. You'll usually see a lot of buses on Sunrise Hwy because that's the route they usually take to go out to the Detroit Diesel facility in Ronkonkoma. If he was stopped, maybe he was taking a driving break, stretching his legs..
  9. Yeah, a bus was probably finishing up a run in Hicksville or they decided, hey forget a run on the n80/81 or one of the lesser routes, the n54 is more important, so they had a bus deadhead to the breakdown spot.
  10. Typical bus breakdown and a small spelling mistake (obv. 2012). Nothing major.
  11. I figured that. Bus was probably headed to the Cummins facility out in Ronkonkoma.

  13. You know, between you and Pinepower, you really need to stop complaining about everything NICE does wrong and learn to appreciate what they are providing. Its 25 days until buses to Jones Beach start rolling which gives them more than enough time to get schedules up. Remember last year, they didn't post schedules until the week before, just like the . Yeah, but since they're not the , we have to blame them for everything!
  14. Just saw Bus Co. Orion VII HEV 3762 being towed out to Long Island on the LIE. Was on a private company tow truck, not an one!
  15. Anyone else see this photo in the news recently of a guy traveling on top of a LIRR train? http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/queens/man-caught-riding-top-lirr-train-article-1.1316527
  16. Details for the new n87 and n88 service will be revealed May 1st.
  17. NICE changing an Orion V tire (apparently, the buses get new tires every 6 months):
  18. They were primarily focused on NCC students since several routes go through there and available connections are widespread. However, they could also look at Hofstra or Adelphi students who walk to the bus.
  19. Are you in school? NICE wants students who take the bus daily to class and want to have an input their community bus service.
  20. Happened to catch this yesterday, just a random thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlLTdTNwEZM
  21. FRIDAY NASSAU FUN FACT: On average, NICE buses consume 82 gallons of compressed natural gas a day!
  22. I wonder if that was the 18xx I saw a month ago broken down on Northern Blvd?! It was at nighttime so I couldn't read the number, but it was by the TD Bank in Bayside.
  23. http://www.nyctransitforums.com/forums/topic/40558-finally-showing-off-my-nice-makeover/ It's not just gonna stop there. I've locked threads because of this endless conversation before and it still continues in other threads. The topics on this forum are free-range and instead of locking them all when users go off-topic, we just leave them until some argument ends up going bad and somebody has to step in.
