  1. Did I ever mention that 25 mph is ridiculous on some roads? Keep honking me bus, I'm only following the speed limit to the dot. Ain't no one got time for a $50 summons.

Well with CI Avenue's traffic, you can't really do 35, I did 30 with a B68 on my ass.

I mean you can do 35+ with some...delicate maneuvering.

The worst speed limit is the 35 mph speed trap on the Henry Hudson north, between the Bridge and the Bronx. The curves aren't that bad, and the road is wider than the curvy windy Saw Mill.

  2. Walk into Micro Center looking to just buy a processor, walk out with a processor, motherboard, and RAM. Damn that sales person.

It's once when I just got to my car thinking...shit..he got me. LOL

  3. So pretty much you've just had bad luck with cable. No need to bash the entire company for it. I still pay a $45 a month for my 101/35 where new Optimum customers need to dish out $105. Now that's customer service for you.
  4. As a former technical support, changing out the modem does not always fix things. It actually could be the wiring in the home and/or outside. Also, if cable doesn't work well at one's home but FiOS does, you have to remember they are two totally different connections. That's like saying, yeah, this Manhattan clam chowder isn't cooked right, but this New England chowder is perfect. It's completely. different. And like I've said before, just because you've had a bad experience with customer support does not mean the entire company has bad customer support. I've also noted that Verizon has shit customer support.
  5. I have Optimum and have FiOS available but I'm staying with Optimum. Why? Majority of my block switched to FiOS so that's clear bandwidth for me. Plus the rate I'm paying for is far less than FiOS and the speed is double. Yeah fiber optics is better but, I'm comfortable with my speed. Don't let this opinion defer your decision. I've actually had good customer service and good service overall. Another thing, I've worked for Verizon for some time and you've just been lucky to hit some "good" customer support, most of customer support tech I know are dicks and just plays by the book with no wiggle room.
  6. The literal term of "rotting" doesn't make sense like RollOver pointed out. But in terms of the trains are getting older, then yes, you can pretty much use the term "rotting" in those senses.

As my class is going right now, everything is pretty much the same. I have yet to encounter something different. Other than coding the statement itself, the functions are still the same to me.

  9. Since you quoted me, you're referring to me. But hey, it's an off topic section, I ALSO can comment and post whatever the hell I want. I should start posting up sarcasm tags as some of you guys are obviously oblivious to them.
  10. I doubt it could be the OS, if I'm not mistaken, they are going to roll those out possibly with Android L? The developers edition of L wasn't too big, correct me if I'm wrong.
  11. Damn, did I read 24GB? I hope that's a base model..maybe they are ditching the 16GB models?
  12. Why do you care of why he cares about you caring? Careception.
  13. I'll keep all of these locations in mind, they do have online websites I can view for the time being I hope. If not I definitely have to make time some time this week or next.
  14. Why are we even talking about stuff that shouldn't affect our lives? Members left, made a forum, closed the forum, and may or may not have come back. Big f-----g deal. Anyways....anyone know a store other than IKEA for like..office workstation type of desks? I've tried Office Depot but their selection seems....dull.
  15. Seem to be behind? They are behind in terms of hardware minus if at the very lest their processor for the phone. Everything else is pretty much 2012. I saw a comment somewhere on 9gag where they said the Apple iPhone is exactly like the Call of the Duty series...same shit every year.
  16. The next Moto X looks promising, but I'm pretty happy with my OnePlus One phone. If Apple Pay succeeds, I guess it can push Google to improve Google Wallet. Honestly speaking, I felt that the iPhone 5/5S should of had NFC already in their phones (if not already). Because a lot of older Android based and I'm sure even Windows based phones have NFC already. Another disappointment from Apple I forgot to mention was the watch. The concept pictures were looking a lot better than the final product. Then again the concept pictures resembled the Galaxy watches if I'm not mistaken. Another copyright war coming along? **I still don't like the design of the new iPhone 6, it looks too close to the Galaxy line now with the rounded sides and such. the iPhone 5 probably had a solid design and should have stick with that.
  17. If you are running on an iPhone 5/5S, I really see no purpose in upgrading to the 6. I don't use Apple phones but I still follow up on their products and am very disappointing on what they are releasing. The only REAL thing I am seeing that is promising is the Apple Pay? Because I think they will have it down rather than our Google Wallet that flopped so hard. But a lot of the technologies on the iPhone 6 is exactly the same as the Nexus 4...and that phone came out 2 years ago. So really...like I said on my status and I will say again here...there really seems to be no point from upgrading from the 5/5S to the 6, I'd just stick with the 5/5S. Another note, I just realized that there are rounded edges and thicker bezels...like really? The iPhone 5 actually looks nice and now it's starting to look like a Galaxy S2/S3 phone. Eh, to each their own I guess. I'm just waiting for the die-hard Apple fan-boys to buy the iPhone 6 Plus after they talked so much crap about people with large Galaxy screened phones. The irony isn't it?
  18. So I read the specs of the iPhone 6...and why does it oddly resemble similar specs of the 2012 Nexus 4? But that's none of my business though.

I wouldn't say small, there have been surveys and charts comparing 2012 and 2013, and there's been a significant drop of iOS users and an increase of Android users and how quite a good bit of people switched over.

Most of the data was also contributed by all of the major carriers as well.

Can't blame them... iPhones are so overhyped that it isn't even funny.

If I was an iPhone user...I'd personally stick to the 5 or 5s..the 6/6+ really looks like a GS2 in my opinion..just longer. LOL

  19. Who puts a speed camera between an exit and an entrance on-ramp to a parkway? Oh New York City does.

It's not only BMCC, it's citywide. Because John Jay and Queens college had CUNYfirst problems as well. Plus CUNYfirst was pretty much screwing up a week before classes started. BMCC is pretty lenient on absences to my knowledge. I once didn't show up for 2 months in a programming class and still got an A.

I was going to wait for the anticipated Nexus X as well but my GS2 was slowly dying and I needed a quick replacement.

I certainly enjoyed the weather much more over there than here. I guess I got lucky on the week I went, I had no traffic what-so-ever. Only traffic I hit was making the wrong turn on the 101 leading up to the Golden Gate.
