  1. I think this is the time to leave the RFW behind and move on. I don't care about the railfan window since the full width cab still allows me to see the front which I am still okay with that. Those foamers who hog the RFW should also move on from the railfan window. You leave the past behind and move on to the future.
  2. I rode an R68A N train today.

Nah, but I still wouldnt risk it. That was when I didn't really give a damn. It was mostly me knowing that if I go down, I go down because of my own actions.

  5. Are the R160's going to stay on the after the R32's on the is displaced?
  6. Uh Oh! to 168 St you got to be kidding me!
  7. Sea Beach riders would not be happy about the running local and via tunnel. Brightion riders want Broadway Service more than 6 Av. Broadway Junction isn't built to be a terminal. setup in Queens Blvd would be a failure. Switches would be a problem and plus people would have to transfer more. Without access to the Broadway Line, Queens Blvd riders would not have good access to the and the east side of the Manhattan south of 28 St and Lower Manhattan. Upper Manhattan riders and Central Park West riders need the and it's faster than the to Midtown. Those are the problems with your prospal. By the way I love your map designs and diagrams.
  8. The can relay on the Jamaica bound track on Essex St and have the use the track.
  9. From the TOMC, The TA worker said that the would be extended to Essex St on weekend due to ridership growth.
  10. Today I saw a R188 set at 18 Av on the Sea Beach I didn't take photos to aviod having problems with the TA there. After the TA encounter at 18 Av during the R188 I started to feel less comfortable with TA workers.
  11. Because of switch failures that would need emergency repairs just north of Jay St on the level no trains can past through. The crossover south of York St not affected. This also occurs on the weekend when the Greenpoint tubes are closed for repairs. Reroute trains.
  12. Good to be back at home.

  13. You really need to study the subway system more to understand it about how ridership is on the and 8 av lines. There is reason on why the current pattern exists.
  14. The running together is not a unsual sight. They run together due to snowbirds, G.O's , or unexpected services changes on the Queens Blvd line during the weekends. I hope there is a least one R42 running on the at the Chambers St to Metro Av section. I want to record a railfan view between Metro Av and Myrtle Av.
  15. Coney Island bound trains are running via the is occuring the same week when the is rerouted via 53 St.
  16. If the MTA is working at South ferry loop then the would be suspended along with the . trains are running to Manhattan as usual but local. The reason for the service change is work at Cordlant st near the World Trade Center. They are not working at South Ferry so the is still turning there as normal.
  17. suspended. runs in two sections 1, 205 St-2 Av via 8 Av local 2, West 4 St- Coney Island via 4 Av Local. via 8 Av/53 St from West 4 St to Roosevelt Av. rerouted to Chambers St from Essex S. runs in two sections 1, Astoria Ditmars Blvd-57 St/7 Av 2, Whitehall St-Coney Island via 4 Av Local. runs only between Prospect Park and Coney Island. runs as a shuttle between 95 St and 36 St. suspended replaced by. runs 8 Av express from 50 St to Canal St and extended to Ecuild Av to replace . This makes the unchanged. runs full length trains and extended to Forest Hills via Queens Blvd local. Special trains run between Forest Hills and 47-50 St via 63 St. For Spring St use nearby stations.
  18. This only affects the . no trains between 59 st and 95 st. relays on the northbound Sea Beach express track between 5 Av and 8 Av. This makes the unchanged.
  19. I try to find it during the p.m rush but it was in the ENY yard. Before hunting that R32 always check the ENY yard. I did have a fun time on the R42's.
  20. This saturday the will be on one track from 2 Av to West 4 St in the Uptown Direction. There is going to be a lot of train buching and delays in the area. I also think that the MTA would reduce train frequency on all of those lines. Broadway Laffayte St would be a good place to go railfaning.
  21. Today was my lucky day because when I arrived at 59 st at 4:30 a.m an pulled in. When I arrived at Jay st The came like few minutes later. It's lucky that I don't miss a train at late night. How many minutes did it took to travel from QBP to Main St.
  22. Does anyone know why the R32's can't run in the ?
