(3) to New Lots G/O Question[Oct 3-5]

Recommended Posts

Im confused about Oct 3-5

(3) Trains extended to New Lots Av

Weekend, 12:01 AM Sat to 5 AM Mon, Oct 3 - 5

What do they mean? Do they mean over night? Or replacing the (4)... which doesnt make much sense since the (4) is running normal to Brooklyn with the exception of via Local from 125th/Lex and Bowling Green..

Unless this is just a mistake... Thanks =)

They mean the (3) is running 24 hrs to New Lots Avenue due to the fact the (4) is not going past Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall!

Yes it is. It says the (4) is local from 125th to Bowling green. It doesnt say anything about it being cut.. Next week yes, but not for the first weekend on october

I believe they will start doing work on 2 track from Borough Hall to Nevins. I think the (4) train will run to Bowling Green, so the people wanting New Lots, can transfer at Fulton St. for the (3) train........

How much extra service will you need at night? Trains run every 20 minutes. If anything, 18 the least. The (3) will use its own cars if needed to.

They'll just use an R62 that probably was on the mainline all day anyway. No need to change any signs either, so no incentive to use an R142 this time (if there was one in the first place).

They have to get rid of all the federal money already in the pipeline so they can cry broke and get more. Actually ,the Sperry car was running around lately so maybe it found some problems that must be corrected.
