Amtrak7 Posted December 19, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2009 In addition, due to a change in the Cold Weather Plan for the weekend of December 18 to December 21, 2009, Dyre Avenue Shuttle trains will not be extended to the 149th Street-Grand Concourse Station. Dyre Avenue Shuttle train service will run its regular route between the Dyre Avenue Station and the East 180th Street Station. First, the doesn't run shuttle service during this time of day, and second, since when has the shuttle ran to 149/GC?
INDman Posted December 19, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 19, 2009 It's part of Plan 4. The Rockaway Shuttle runs to Euclid Av under this too.
mark1447 Posted December 19, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 19, 2009 The gets extended to Mott Avenue I think for limited trains to head to Lex/Jerome tubes and get stored underground.. Tho idk what happens to the (5)s when heading back to dyre after hitting Mott ve.. Maybe switch over to NB track..
FamousNYLover Posted December 19, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 19, 2009 I think it might be talking about late night going to be extended to 149th St-GC.

Zman Posted December 20, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 20, 2009 It's a new Cold Weather service pattern: shuttles operate ten cars with a Conductor on-board to 149/GC. They probably relay at 135/Lenox, but I'm not sure.
NX Express Posted December 20, 2009 Share #8 Posted December 20, 2009 Isn't there a crossover between 149-Grand Concourse and 149-3 Av? So why relay all the way at 135?
Zman Posted December 20, 2009 Share #9 Posted December 20, 2009 Isn't there a crossover between 149-Grand Concourse and 149-3 Av? So why relay all the way at 135? I said that I'm not sure. I also do not believe that the TA would want to wrong-rail trains in order to turn back (5)'s. One problem on the stand and the (2)'s are toast. 2Line1291 Posted December 20, 2009 Share #10 Posted December 20, 2009 If......it relys after 3rd Ave, I would probaly disrupt 241st St bound trains
