Fred G Posted March 8, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted March 8, 2010 Yeah, it's still a cool track config through there but the tower was a fun sight and a nice photo prop. Ah well, progress.

Fred G Posted March 8, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted March 8, 2010 Excellent photos. Why did they take the tower down? When did they knock down the tower? Thanks, I have no idea when this one was removed, but they're getting rid of all the old towers as things are more centralized now. The last I recall being out there to see this tower was last summer or autumn.

mark1447 Posted March 8, 2010 Share #9 Posted March 8, 2010 Excellent pixs! Love my redbird! And im wondering if the tower was ether removed during the G/o with no trains from White Plains Rd/241st and Morris Park ave/180th. Or during the 241st rehab(doubt)
Cait Sith Posted March 8, 2010 Share #10 Posted March 8, 2010 A great track layout that area is, but without that signal tower, it looks so empty. It reminds me of the line track layout at Rockaway Blvd when they split to the Rockaways or Lefferts Blvd. Nice pics as always man :tup:

St Louis Car 09 Posted March 8, 2010 Share #12 Posted March 8, 2010 I was thinking that someone should create a control tower thread with pics dedicated to all of the systems towers.
