No, 3 doors is how the artics should've been delievered as. You ride the M15 or such lines like I did for years and you'll see why those buses should've had a 3rd set of doors due to people exiting towards the front than the back.

2 door artics sucks and should not go to any 'crowded' lines as the MTA will use it as an excuse to cut back on service. Not to mention farebeaters that'll just get on the back door because people still exits out the front door.

Actually, GM did build an articulated RTS sometime during the first half of the 1980s. It was known as the RTS Mega, and unfortunately it never made it past the prototype stage. For anyone who is interested, here is a pic:

That looks great. But that line would be terrible if it was on lines like the B41 and such as people will exit at the front leaving the rear doors open for fare beaters. If this was in Manhattan or such, then it would probably be better.

I wish those didn't run on the NYC streets. The entrance to the RTS is cramped, and making it 60 feet would only be worse.
