FRACertifyMotormen Posted June 13, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 13, 2010 ATS controls the whole IRT, so in all likelyhood, the 3 will go first unless the 3 is ahead of schedule and the 5 is not.

NX Express Posted June 13, 2010 Share #6 Posted June 13, 2010 What is ATS and how come it's only in the A Division and not the B? Automatic Train Supervision. The A Div has less route complexity, so they put ATS there first.

EE Broadway Local Posted June 14, 2010 Share #8 Posted June 14, 2010 And ATS has turned the IRT into one huge fail Is this the same at 125th Street in addition to Rogers Junction?
R62A 1991 Posted June 14, 2010 Share #9 Posted June 14, 2010 Is this the same at 125th Street in addition to Rogers Junction? In what way? Having trains cross in front of each other at high frequencies? If I recall correctely, trains don't cross in front of each other at 125th St. Or just about having ATS active? If I recall correctely, trains don't cross in front of each other at 125th St. Or just about having ATS active? They don't. It's an allusion. Trains run slow because there are many switches in the area. But they usually aren't used except during say late hours or on freak GOs or random service disruptions.
