INDman Posted June 16, 2011 Share #52 Posted June 16, 2011 i would operate where there are no foamers. Good luck with that one.... Is it the views, the speeds, equipment, or something else you people base your decisions? Extra list and VR get you all over the division so I don't think it would get too boring like a picked job on a single line would. I wouldn't want to pound the road for 5 straight days for a whole pick. Also a friend of mine who work South Brooklyn for 15 years got qualified there because he was on the extra board. I know that South Brooklyn is nothing like it once was, but he only got the job because he was extra. Then I would like work trains because it's not as much cab time and it's very different from regular road ops. That being said, I don't really want to be a T/O. trainfan22 Posted June 19, 2011 Share #54 Posted June 19, 2011 IRT = The very short run only like around a hour or so. A job that would start/end @ Utica or New Lots to be exact, I also would'nt the if there is jobs that start/end @ the BK Terminals. B Div = Lefferts Blvd , and maybe the . I would say the ( and lines but I'm not too fond of the Manhattan Bridge run and that junction in BK, esp CI bound... Didn't choose the , for the same reason... the Williamsberg Bridge FTL. TwoTimer Posted June 19, 2011 Share #55 Posted June 19, 2011 When you call Dekalb around the portal in Brooklyn, if there's nobody on the switch usually you dont have to stop the train, just keep on rolling by with your correct lineup. Its better on weekends though.

EE Broadway Local Posted June 25, 2011 Share #57 Posted June 25, 2011 If I were a Motorman (T/O), I would like to operate the train: Jamaica Center to World Trade Center. There's just something about the Queens Boulevard express I've always admired. For the I.R.T., it would be the . Simply for the nostalgia of Morrisania.
