apostrophe27 Posted August 31, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2011 I'm having trouble understanding the Suffolk County Transit bus map. It shows buses 58, 62, 92, 8A all going to the Riverhead railroad station, yet there's no stop at the station listed on any of the schedules. Do the buses got to the train station or not? The link to the map is here - http://www.sct-bus.org/sctmap.html The individual schedules are here - http://www.sct-bus.org/bus_schedules.html
checkmatechamp13 Posted September 3, 2011 Share #2 Posted September 3, 2011 I'm having trouble understanding the Suffolk County Transit bus map. The link to the map is here - http://www.sct-bus.org/sctmap.html The individual schedules are here - http://www.sct-bus.org/bus_schedules.html The reason is because at that point, they are so close to the terminal (Riverhead County Center) that it's not worth putting a timepoint there. If you look on the individual schedules, you'll see a route map that shows the buses stopping at the station. I think the S66 has its last stop at the County Center, though, and doesn't go all the way to the station.

It's one (singular) bus stop for buses traveling in either direction, right in front the station...
mac5689 Posted September 14, 2011 Share #7 Posted September 14, 2011 The LIRR Riverhead station is a stones throw from the County Center and only takes a minute or two to get to,and it would seem like a waste of space to post it on the schudule, however thats just my opinion. The LIRR Riverhead isn't listed on he 8A Schudule, I thought it was listed on the copy I have. I guess I will have to check that out. The S66 is indeed the only Riverhead bus that does not serve the Rivverhead LIRR station.

The link to the map is here - http://www.sct-bus.org/sctmap.html The individual schedules are here - http://www.sct-bus.org/bus_schedules.html S58 and S62 goes to Riverhead Station. If you`re heading out of Riverhead Station, you should look at Riverhead County Center which is first stop listed in timestable and you can guess what time bus arrives Riverhead Station. S90, S92, #8A has Riverhead Station listed.
