Formulate a plan in which trains can run underground ONLY during a snowstorm.

(1) is suspended

(2) runs local between 3rd Avenue and 149th Street in the Bronx (where it starts) and Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn

(3) runs normal to Chambers Street (as a local south of 96th Street) and then via the (1) to South Ferry, where it terminates.

(4) runs local on Lexington Avenue between 149th Street-Grand Councourse and Utica Avenue

(5) is suspended

(6) runs between Hunts Point Avenue and Brooklyn Bridge.

(7) runs in two sections:

Between 34th Street-Hudson Yards or Times Square and Grand Central

Between Grand Central and Vernon-Jackson or Hunterspoint Avenues

Times Square (S) also runs during this time.

(A) runs 207th Street-Euclid Avenue as a local ONLY

(B)(C)(M)(N) and (Q) are all suspended

(D) runs over the Manhattan Bridge as normal (the only outdoor portion unaffected by an otherwise complete shutdown of outdoor lines due to the nature of running over the bridge) to 95th Street (R) station (local otherwise).

(E) runs local in Queens, but otherwise normal

(F) runs normal route to Bergen Street ONLY. (local in Queens)

(G) runs normal route to Bergen Street ONLY.

(J) is a shuttle in Manhattan only between Essex and Broad Street

(R) runs 24/7 via normal route and if necessary (due to avoiding backups) is extended to 179th Street.

Moving along:

Emergency repairs need to be done to the Broadway line between Whitehall Street and 57 Street - 7 Ave. No trains can be passed through, plus the Manhattan Bridge is out of commission for the weekend.

Reroute!

Be more specific on what happened next time, because for the first 60 seconds, I was like, what the heck would happen that would cause just Broadway to have "Emergency" repairs?

BTW you said "Between", so... :D

(N) Shuttle in Astoria, terminate at Lex.

(N) Barclays Center to Coney Island, northbound local.

(B) suspended.

(Q) Coney Island to Whitehall St.

(D) Coney Island to Court Square, select trains to Whitehall St. Southbound local.

(D) 205th St to 2nd Av, Concourse local.

(R) shuttle.

(E) local.

(F) local.

(M) express.

Phase 3 of SAS is now running, and in fact, the (T) is running into Bronx. They just ditched Phase 4 (Don't ask why). But now Lex-63rd is facing huge structure problems and very unsanitary conditions. It is closed down for renovation. No trains can pass. Provide the best possible service for everyone now.

Tracks are as follow if you plan on obstructing them. ;)

A person desides to be stupid and look at the 6 av express trains from the uptown (6) platform and falls down when he leaned over the rail there. Due to an investigation, no trains are allowed through the Broadway-Lafayette station. Reroute/suspend away.

(Q) ends at 57 Street and the (F) runs via 53 Street. (G) extended to Forest Hills and the (M) returns to it's old Nassau pattern or just plain old terminates at Chambers Street at this time.

Edit: (Q) shuttle runs between Broadway and 72 street.

(4) Woodlawn to Grand Central via local

(5) re-routed via 7th Av Line

(6) terminates at 125th St

(B) Brighton Beach to 57th St Broadway

(D) re-routed via Culver to Jay St then via (A) up through 59th St

(F) re-routed via Crosstown N/B, S/B re-routed via 8th Av after W4th then resuming normal service in Brooklyn

(M) Continental to 34th St & Chambers St to Metropolitan

I wonder how the MTA handles the (M) and (R) normally when it's backed up. Surely not by sending it to Jamaica.

The idea here is it's an EMERGENCY situation.  As the (R) would be the only Broadway line running, in order to have it terminate at 71-Continental, at least during peak times if not all times you would need to have the (E) and (F) run express between 74th-Roosevelt and 71st-Continental, meaning you don't have the express tracks available along that stretch for storage.  That was why I did what I did and specifically used "if necessary.".

All tunnels in the NYC area have to be closed for emergency repairs following the aftermath of Hurricane iPhone. The repairs will take at least 2 weeks.

Reroute!

The f***?

All service suspended. Extra buses to help carry load, but recommended that everybody stays home.

Whatever this should be dumb. I agree with the person who said suspend everything. It's pointless for elevated lines to run for only 5 stops or so.

...If it's just river crossings, I've already made a map. If it's EVERY. TUNNEL. IN. NEW. YORK. CITY... then you're basically saying that there will be service on IND Rockaway, IRT Flushing, IRT Jerome, IRT WPR, IRT Pelham, IRT Dyre, maybe IRT Bway-7 in Riverdale, maybe IRT New Lots, BMT Brighton, Sea Beach, New Utrecht, Culver, and Franklin...

...and nothing else.
