Your still overloading the local track by running 4 train lines on it. The only solution is to reduce service on Queens Blvd. by one line.

ok, here is my scenario:

The express AND local tracks along Central Park West from 59th St. to 125 St. are impassable due to a loss of power.

(A) Runs in three sections:

Between Inwood-207 Street and 168 Street.

Between 168 Street and 145 Street, via local.

Between 34 Street-Penn Station and Brooklyn.

(B) No service b/w The Bronx and 42 Street-Bryant Park.

(C) No service b/w 168 Street and 34 Street-Penn Station.

(D) Runs in two sections:

Between The Bronx and 145 Street.

Between 42 Street-Bryant Park.

You do realize that the R46's can't run to Metropolitan? #awks

Sorry, I was assuming the (C) trains would be R32s, NOT R46s (and that's what I get for assuming! :wacko: ).

Why flip around the (C) and (M)? You could just terminate the (C) at 34 St and the (M) at Metropolitan Avenue. Crazy reroutes are better to avoid.

I was trying to keep service as normal on Queens Boulevard as possible and keep people there from complaining about the (R) being the only local line on QB. That's why the flip.

Anyway, if the (C) is R46....

Lefferts-bound (A) trains operate via the (F) between West 4th and Jay Street (same as original version) and run local from 59th-West 4th.

Far Rockaway/Rockaway Park bound (A) trains begin at Chambers (and end there in reverse).

(C) runs in two sections:

34th-Penn Station to 168th Street

Chambers Street-Euclid Avenue (some (C) trains continue on the express track and begin/end at 14th Street, skipping 23rd street).

(E) runs 34th Street-Jamaica Center ONLY (some (E) trains also continue to 14th Street on the express track, skipping 23rd Street).

Some (M) trains diverted to the 8th Avenue line at West 4th and run via there to 50th.

Which station?

How about we say Canal street and re-use the re-routes we just did in the scenario that had been posted for that.

NEXT:

Due to a track fire north of the Jay Street (A) / (C) / (F) station, that station cannot be used, and neither can the Metrotech station on the Montauge Street line. The Hoyt-Schemerhorn Station must still be served by more than the (G), however.

Re-route the (A) / (C) / (F) / (R).

(A) No service b/w Chambers Street & Utica Avenue, via Brooklyn Local.

(C) No service b/w Chambers Street or World Trade Center & Brooklyn.

(F) No service b/w East Broadway & Church Avenue, select trains via Crosstown.

(R) Via Bridge, select trains run to Whitehall Street.

The year is 1999, the last year of manhattan bridge rehab. Unfortunately, while building it becomes unstable and falls apart. You need a long term solution for this, and this change is meant to last st least 10 years. Oh, and dont throw 400000 TPH in the Montague Tunnel.

(B) trains run from Bedford Pk Blvd/145th to 34th Street.

(D) trains in two sections 205th to 34th Street and 57th St-B'way to Coney Island. Broadway Express. Run 7tph.

(N) trains run via Whitehall via 4th Avenue Local and B'way Local. 6tph.

(Q) trains run via Whitehall, B'way local. 7tph.

<Q> trains run during rush from 57th to Coney Island, Brighton Express, Broadway Express during weekdays. 4tph.

(R) trains run from 71st Avenue to 57th Street via 63rd Street.

Shuttle trains run from 57th to Grand and from 59 St to 95 St in Bklyn

NEXT: design a weekend GO for replacing the switches that the (B) uses south of 59 St.

I like this puzzle.

(C) Downtown trains bypass 72 St and run express from 59 St to Canal St.

(D) Trains run in two sections:

......West 4 St to Coney Island.

Transfer at West 4 St to continue your trip.

NEXT

NEXT: The Fulton Street tunnel has collapsed flooding the Fulton Complex. Reroute the 2/3/4/5/A/C/J/M.

How I would handle it:

(2) operates as follows:

To Chambers Street via regular route, then via the (1) to Rector, then via the South Ferry Loop to the Wall Street (4) / (5) station, where it then reverses and runs via the (4) to Atlantic Avenue and via regular route to Flatbush Avenue

(2) trains stop at Bowling Green to and from Wall Street both to the Bronx and to Brooklyn, please carefully read the signs at Bowling Green and Wall Street for actual destination. Personnel at these stations are instructed to note where the train is going.

(3) Operates 148th Street-Lenox Avenue-Park Place (some (3) trains terminate at Chambers or 14th Street).

(4) Operates in two sections:

Woodlawn-Brooklyn Bridge

Wall Street-New Lots Avenue (local after Atlantic Avenue and replacing the (3) in Brooklyn)

Please carefully read signs if boarding at Bowling Green or Wall Street since (2) trains are operating both to Brooklyn and the Bronx going south to Bowling Green first. Personnel at these stations are instructed to note where the train is going.

(5) operates Dyre Avenue-Brooklyn Bridge ONLY.

The Hoyt Street IRT station in Brooklyn is CLOSED, use nearby stations for service.

(A) operates local 59th Street-West 4th and via the (F) from West 4th-Jay Street, Brooklyn

(C) operates High Street-Euclid Avenue ONLY.

(E) skips 23rd and Spring Streets on 8th Avenue as it operates on the express track, terminating as it normally does at Chambers (Spring Street is CLOSED, walk to Canal or West 4th OR to the Houston Street (1) station for Service).

(G) is extended to 71st-Continental and replaces the (M) on Queens Boulevard.

(J) terminates in Manhattan at Chambers Street.

(M) is diverted to the 8th Avenue line after Broadway-Lafayette and replaces the (C) from West 4th-168th Street.

(N) operates via the (R) between Canal Street and Atlantic Avenue to help ease problems on the other lines.
