Had my bike ready to go this morning and thought I go around Liberty State Park real quick to get back into my daily habit. Took some pics along the way.

Nice Man! I went to a Train Show in that old Station back in 98. Thats the old Lackawanna Terminal right?

 

Central Railroad of New Jersey.

The railroad you speak of terminated in hoboken.

 

They should fully restore the whole terminal & its rails and outdoor shelters.

Ahh yes, your right! Thanls for the correction:D

 

Somewhat off topic, it makes me very sad to see what a shadow of its former self the whole rail transportation system is these days, from the passenger trains, the coal trains, the way the subway used to look in that classic victorian era charm and care to detail. I feel like we've lost a lot, but they ALL now have the chance to re-activate and expand. They ALL can refurb and rebuild stations, expand electrification and so on. We have a REAL chance to do this especially if fuel prices stay high.

 

For the first time since before i was born railroads and transit systems have the chance to expand hugely.

 

I am sitting back and waiting to see what happens.
