aemoreira81 965 #1 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) Now - January 18, 2013 Then - December 29, 2011 In addition to the nose panel having been replaced, the front doors on 230 have also been replaced and they are now single-pane. The Then is unique, but I actually prefer the Now because the small MTA logo that far down without a stripe above it seemed odd. User 2,251 #3 Posted January 19, 2013 Had they moved the logo on the front a bit up to where it is now, a white front on 230 would have looked great!
ciboii22 1,429 #4 Posted January 19, 2013 Yup this was done between August, November. She was out since August, they sent it back to New Flyer. They even replaced the MTA New York City Bus logo in the back, they replaced the silver poles inside to yellow poles. Now she's a plain jane like the rest of them in the fleet.
RailBus63 212 #5 Posted January 19, 2013 Looks so much better. That white front was so bland.

aemoreira81 965 #9 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) Had they moved the logo on the front a bit up to where it is now, a white front on 230 would have looked great! Or if it had been a giant MTA logo on the front (as is the case on the O7s and D60HFs with no stripe on the front), that would have been good too. BTW, 230 is still unique for now: it is either the only or 1 of only 2 C40LFs (depending on if 185 has cameras) with the license plate on the stripe and onboard cameras. SevenEleven 2,439 #11 Posted January 19, 2013 Had they moved the logo on the front a bit up to where it is now, a white front on 230 would have looked great! That logo needed to be bigger if anything. Nope, only way 230 is unique is the amount of engines it went through ... already. That and however they managed to get the brakes sounding like that. Some of CP's 500s are fitted or getting prepped to be fitted with cameras.
XcelsiorBoii4888 1,241 #12 Posted January 21, 2013 I like the new 230 a lot! I think 230 is the only 2xx series to have the license plate on the stripe.
