T J Trainman Posted July 13, 2014 Author Share #26 Posted July 13, 2014 There is a 45 bus order of 40 foot buses for MTA Bus. When will that happen? Who knows?

Gotham Bus Co. Posted July 13, 2014 Share #28 Posted July 13, 2014 So the numbers for the LFS may start at 8090 and the Exelsiors may start at 4900? Do we know which depots will be getting this new order? Let's wait until the buses are actually built and delivered before speculating about fleet numbers and depot assignments. Even the most preliminary conceptual "plans" can change several times along the way.

NYSubwayBuff Posted July 13, 2014 Share #30 Posted July 13, 2014 Besides UP i would upgrade ENY for a couple of artics for the rush hour 82 runs but the would have to short turn the cant turn at Stillwell

NYSubwayBuff Posted July 13, 2014 Share #32 Posted July 13, 2014 Nahhh the stillwell terminal has less room to turn, a 45ftr can't turn without having to back up there are also supervision cars and other misc vehicles littering the stillwell loop making ot a much more difficult turn. I am positive an Artic can't turn around there without major maneuvering of course they could have the B64 terminate in the 82's spot and have the 82 pickup where it lays over across the street on mermaid, then a left on stillwell to normal route
T J Trainman Posted July 13, 2014 Author Share #33 Posted July 13, 2014 If a 40 footer can make the turns there then a 60 footer can make the turns there.
