Fresh Pond Posted November 29, 2014 Share #26 Posted November 29, 2014 The B51 should have gotten another route over the Brooklyn Bridge, not the Manhattan Bridge. How can you run a bus over the Brooklyn Bridge, when there's no buses allowed on the Brooklyn Bridge
BxM4Woodlawn Posted November 29, 2014 Share #27 Posted November 29, 2014 thinking about it, maybe the B103 should go over the Brooklyn Bridge into City Hall, and they should un-retire the Orion V CNGs and run them on the B103. Then taking the B103 would be fun again!
Q43LTD Posted November 29, 2014 Share #28 Posted November 29, 2014 You're joking, right?

theaveragejoe Posted November 30, 2014 Share #31 Posted November 30, 2014 Is there a reason why no bus line go over the Brooklyn bridge? I always wondered this. Personally, I could see the B103 getting extended to city hall over the bridge. Why can't you use google? You would answer your own damn questions. 46Dover Posted December 2, 2014 Share #33 Posted December 2, 2014 As an Access A Ride driver, I learned all buses cannot use the Brooklyn Bridge because of what has already been stated. I wonder if the AAR Dodge Sprinters would be exempt
Express Bus Operator Posted December 3, 2014 Share #34 Posted December 3, 2014 I actually went on the Brooklyn Bridge this morning to head to the city. And driving with my car it felt congested with 3 lanes. Just imagine commercial vehicle driving on the BKLYN Bridge. Not enough clearance on top and would take 2 lanes while driving. Even entering the Bridge from Brooklyn side is tight with a normal vehicle size.
qjtransitmaster Posted December 6, 2014 Share #35 Posted December 6, 2014 Thus not a service worth running period.
