checkmatechamp13 Posted April 14, 2016 Share #3 Posted April 14, 2016 That's a pleasant surprise... Not really a surprise, since unions historically have endorsed the Democratic candidate. But I agree, definitely good news. Not sure how much of a difference it'll make, though, since New York usually goes for the Democratic candidate anyway. GojiMet86 Posted April 14, 2016 Share #4 Posted April 14, 2016 I'm surprised, because my impression of union members (having been in one), especially the older ones, is that many lean to conservatism.

Interested Rider Posted April 14, 2016 Share #7 Posted April 14, 2016 This did not surprise at all as most unions have been moving further from the center. My feeling is that if the scare has not put into Hillary yet, it will be soon as Bernie will do very well in the next set of primaries. I do believe that if this keeps up, it will scare the Democrats into looking for an alternative candidate which will be Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts who can unite the party. She will get the support of the independents and will pick up a lot of Republicans who will be dissatisfied if Trump receives the nomination.
