Smoot178 Posted March 11, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2009 Here are the highlights from my journey: On the road! The whole time the bird was being hit in the head by the bell on the right. it was pretty funny because after a major bump she would go off in a fury yelling. Log cabins! Well hello Virginia! Swank bridge! Birds. This tunnel picture is trippy! I believe this is the Delaware bridge. NJTP B) Sweet toll station! Gloomy New Jersey The first MTA bus I saw on SI. Verr. Bridge. I don't know how to spell it The first train I saw! Brooklyn. My mother! Well that's it! All of these photos were taken with a Nikon D60 and scaled down from a resolution of 3872 X 2592. Most were taken in our car so stuff on the windshield shows up alot. The rest are here: http://picasaweb.google.com/Smoot178/Trip3# Enjoy B)
dustclee Posted March 11, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 11, 2009 Some very nice pics you have there. Your mother looks really tired, how many hours was she driving each day? o__o It's the Verrazano Bridge, now you know how to spell it. And the first train you saw looks like a R40M/42 . Shortline Bus Posted March 11, 2009 Share #6 Posted March 11, 2009 Bice pics kid:cool:. I also done the drive from FLA.-NYC. That 'tunnel' looks to be the MCHenry Tunnel in Baltimore. Also some pretty and breath taking scneary along Interstate 95. Did you and your mom stop off at 'south of the border' at the North/South Carolina border? We've been to that place so many times over the past few years I didn't see the point.

PATCOman Posted March 11, 2009 Share #12 Posted March 11, 2009 Cool pics and welcome! I'm assuming you took 95 straight up to the NJ Turnpike to Exit 13 to 278 to the Belt. Interesting how when you passed by the toll booths on exit 1 its sunny. By the time you got past Exit 7A, it looks like its going to pour!
Smoot178 Posted March 11, 2009 Author Share #13 Posted March 11, 2009 Yeah was nice through Baltimore then as soon as we got on the Turnpike it turned bad. And where the heck can I get gloves around here. I went to K-Mart and this GIGANTIC Target over here and neither had mens gloves.
MTR Admiralty Posted March 11, 2009 Share #14 Posted March 11, 2009 Man, awesome pics you got. I was on the 95 a few years ago from NC to NY. Did you go through Baltimore or use the Chesapeake Bay Bridge?

metsfan Posted March 14, 2009 Share #16 Posted March 14, 2009 Where is that 'swank bridge' you labeled? That is the navigation span of the sunshine skyway bridge across tampa bay, fl. Surprisingly, the USA has some pretty massive cable stayed bridges. - A
