any change to break the monotony of the same car assignments year after year is a welcome change when the MTA mixes it up a bit. Granted the R62As arent as bad as say the falling apart 32s and 42s, I say its time the gets some nice cars for a change.

@ ttcsubwayfan, LOL...It seems like the "proper" railfans are considered to be the ones who love the old "real" trains...New train lovers are often (sadly) labelled as foamers.

@lilbluefoxie: I understand why the 188s are necessary, but the 62As really aren't that bad, and I doubt most members of the public would notice the difference anyway.

@TheSubwayStation: There are foamers who foam over old trains and those who foam over new trains. I like and dislike certain classes of both. But it seems that a lot of railfans are excited about cars which are basically self-driving R142As...
