Yes. In full agreement on this.
At least their marketing strategy is working citywide. Tired of seeing those GDNY ads. All the other news channels advertise on the subways. NBC New York advertises all over Atlantic-Pacific and Grand Central.
Plus I haven’t seen a NBC ad citywide since January when they had headliner ads for 2 shows.
That’s the same thing I say all the time. SEPTA doesn’t use outfront media for their buses. I think they use Lamar. However, there should be a way that Outfront can incorporate the ads on buses.
@Around the Horn- I see what you are referring to when it comes to placement of the ad and I see the difference.
I see route elimination on the horizon. People are using the alternatives. This was a waste of money to even change the route to the B91A. Could of left it the B91 and make additional adjustments from the B92 to incorporate the B91. Even with Andy Byford, the TA can't seem to get it right!
I could pretty much agree with that. So far MQ, UP and WF have used the front size ad on their newer Xcelsiors.
However as far as the Super Ultra King (Driverside wrap) is concern. Forget that for now.. Not on these buses just yet..
Random thought: I’ve always wondered why the M31 is at TU and not MQ. Meanwhile, the deadhead to 57th street is less than 10 mins if the 31 is at MQ
Just simply make TU/100 all artic.
(Answering bold points).
1) This I do agree with. There has been expansion for the last few years with Outfront representing more TA’s
2) As of late I’ve noticed a few Staten Island MCI’s (2013) D4500CT’s being retrofitted with super ultra king ads from RCN and another ad. There are slowly adding those Super Ultra Kings again on the MCI buses.
3) This again I do agree with. Only b/c they are a lot newer. However, for depots like MJQ, MHV and MCH they slap tons of those Super Ultra king ads on their buses. I want to see how that changes the game when newer buses come to Manhattan in the near future. Possibly more 30x240, super kongs could be on the horizon for those newer buses.
Gotchu.
You might be right on this.
DC also uses Outfront Media for all their bus models and has been using them for their XD series: XD40, XD60, XDE 40 and XDE60 for the past few years.
Just hopefully In the future that Outfront expands systemwide for the Super Ultra King ads for NYCTA.. Some of the Bronx buses transferred to Manhattan and Brooklyn have the Bronx Zoo super ultra king campaign.
Yukon has a complete set of 8573-8613. Ain’t that sweet. It appears that Ulmer Park could possibly get up to 7850 and possibly get some of those West Farms buses back.
Gun Hill not playing and sending more buses to MV.
I think that came in the week before or last weekend. However, it’s been here at least a week! Good spotting tho!
Once they eliminated the Bx55. SMH. The current proposal could of reinstate the 55 from The hub to Fordham Plaza. Have the 15 go to Manhattanville keeping all work to West Farms and Kingsbridge.
West Farms = Bx15
Kingsbridge = Bx55
I want to know what world is this kid living. If my senses serve me correct with the 99 under his name he must be under 21 and doesn’t have the full knowledge of NYC.
WELP. Are you crazy or what??
First off NO SPLITTING OF DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN SERVICES. ALTHOUGH YOU HAVE ABOUT 15 to 20 lines heading into the main Central business district- Downtown Brooklyn you would want to enhance service rather than split the services.
.......... another thing Denver RTD is not New York City
Exactly. The other guy is an actual MTA planner from back in the day and has pure knowledge. However, this kid just takes everything word for word and doesn’t produce any ideas of his own so that (we) as a community can understand clearly. SMFH.
I didn’t want to chime in on this. However, I’m just simply going to ignore this kid and his antics. Just stop taking everything word for word and come up with your own ideas.
