    They were retired for various reasons R44s were structurally falling apart and for SIR R44s IMO they are still in pretty good shape

    The R44s were in bad shape due to much higher levels of wear and tear, along with heavier level of mileage and vandalism, The R38s were in bad shape because they had really dirty interiors and roofs that the had to hold together with duct tape.     Corona needs to take better care of cleaning their trains I've been noticing that on a lot of R188s but it's probably just that carbon steel R188s won't structurally last long.

    I think there would be some congestion at 179 st if all 3 trains terminated and you would need about 3-4 sets of extra and trains if this happens IMO some Rush hour and trains should terminate at forest hills 71 ave and they should end rush hour service to 179th
