  1. Wrong? Why do you think the 2012 swap was a failed swap? there was a reason why there weren't any R32s on the in 2013
  2. True but the crew doesn't really plan to put anymore R32s on the after this swap because sadly they want the to be fully R46s so the crew doesn't have to hold up service to put a different piece of equipment on the if something breaks down
  3. true the needs as many trains as possible but I just wonder why so many railfan freak out over the R32s on the so many foamers were pissed when R32s didn't hit the in 2013 it can use more than one in case an R46 breaks down and the crew decides to use an R32 to replace it I've heard from sources that there is one set of R32's that are full length in 207 st and there's also one in pitkin to.
  4. Just caught the R32 on the rode it to Lefferts TBH I don't really see the point of R32s being on the ( I know they use the R32 for an emergency or during P.M rush hours) but how much air time do the R32s really get they need to send all the R32s to Far rockaway so they can get a decent amount of air time I am getting the last of my R32 pics but IMO it's pointless to have R32s on the
  5. there are always a handful of R160s on the the crew at ENY takes from the sometimes late nights they late the SMEES rest and make the 95% R160s late nights
  6. There are two rail conditions actually one at 36 st one at 65 st
  7. Sorry to budge in I just wanted to follow this topic but I agree you can terminate trains at 14 st because the t/a won't complain about how much of a pain it is to turn trains in case 96 a service change
  8. Coney island yard can take in the R46s for the it would be nice to see R46s back on the you can put the 4 car sets of R68s back on the and as full length cars you can put 2 on the and one on the
  9. I don't see R179s ending up on the either unless they decide to put extra trains on the the should keep it simple and put R179s where they are planned to go but even if they are going to put them on the they have to be CBTC equipped (which I'm sure they are) the R179s are sadly going to be the end of good RFWs
  10. True but i doubt they would put it on the Rockaway park its pointless to purchase new trains and put them on lines and of course the R179s are going to be equipped with CBTC the would be wasting their money trying to upgrade the system with CBTC if they are not going to purchase trains equipped with CBTC
  11. I'm just curious to what the Will Do, Are They Going to be smart about it IMO they should keep the car assignments simple and let 207 st yard and ENY do the maintenance yeah there are only 300 trains coming so there won't be enough R179s to go around anyway since 207 st yard is equipped to handle NTTs they should be mainly on the , , and of course some should be on the for an emergency or AM or PM rush hours
  12. It is possible for the to get R179s the was one of the routes the originally planned to put the R179s I doubt it would get R179s but if a couple of R179s do pop on the where will the 4 car sets of R68s go? I know they are definitely not going back to the or the so would they go to the
  13. I'm planning on collecting signs like those nice pics
  14. The R179s are mainly going to be on the ,, that's why you rarely see them on the some full length cars are going to run on the but it has to go through testing first before they can actually put them in service
  15. that's what I wish what would happen put the R179s on the put the R46s on the but most of them are not going to be full length only spares are going to run on the for an emergency or AM or PM rush hours
  16. Possibly more than 2 R179s will be on the because there would be more spares since half of them would only be in service
  17. The R179s are going to be rare in the they are most likely going to be used as emergency trains they are also going to send them to Lefferts before they test them in the Rockaways
  18. Yeah there aren't going to be enough R179s to go around anyway so keep the assignments simple when they get here replace the oldest equipment in the system
  19. Okay hopefully the will help now let's get back to topic do you know if the or is going to use any R179s to increase service
  20. No public transportation isn't a competition but it's about getting people to where they need to go and making public transportation as reliable as you can while transporting straphangers
  21. I think it would handle the switching problem at prince st but would it handle the Astoria problem the used only half the number of trains the and used so I'm wondering if it would really help out in astoria
  22. True I agree and I am definitely not suggesting a service cut to astoria but if the does return it would only use 10 sets of trains like it did before and do you think the why do you think the was one of the worst subway lines back in the day
  23. Okay I'm just wondering if they do bring the back will it be a part-time line or use only ten sets of trains like it did before?
