  1. It happened last night there was no collision the T/O just wrong railed into the station and the people got of the train that was on the wrong track and evacuated into the other train that was into the station
  2. Yeah tower controllers are responsible for switches and signals I meant the T/O wasn't paying attention to the switches which caused the train to wrong rail into the station when CBTC comes into play we might not ever have to deal with this again and plus I didnt say anything RTO operator all I said is that the T/O and conductor are going to be in deep s**t because of this
  3. I pretty much meant the T/O and the conductor screwed up
  4. When that conductor is face to face with that supervisor he will be the one that will cringe for real it's like the train last year incident all over again
  5. Yeah some trains are stored in concourse yard over night and during an unplanned service change I've seen NIS R142s dead heading to concourse yard to be stored there because of an emergency
  6. train wrong railed into station conducter wasn't paying attention to the switches he/she is in deep s**t now supervisor was freaking out
  7. Just wondering why they never did the overhaul on the R10s? They were supposed to get an R42 type front installed and get new shiny interior but car 3192 (the first one to get overhauled) never entered service and it was scrapped April 1980
  8. Does anyone know if that R143 car# 8277 that was involved in that overshoot in canarsie yard ever going to return to service? if the frame is bent they should repair and put it back in service but then again there are no available cars to mate it with
  9. Due to a train with mechanical problems at 8 St-NYU, the following service changes are in effect: Northbound and trains are running express from Canal St to 34 St-Herald Sq. Expect delays in northbound and train service. Allow additional travel time this is been going on for 2 hours and a half T/O is still in investigating the tracks and the traction motors of the train this is been going on for 2 hours and a half T/O is still in investigating the tracks and the traction motors of the train
  10. It's because the only has a handful of R160s at the moment sometimes ENY likes to pull R160 sets from the and and put it on the especially late nights there are some T/Os that like to say screw the R32s and R42s and make sure that they catch an R160 especially the ones that have to do overtime
  11. I'm wonder how things are going to be like when the returns
  12. I rode a couple of R32s with dead A/C to I wonder if that is a problem that the R160s are going to suffer through in the future but they can always put the R32 cars with dead A/C in the middle I've also heard that the R42s have a roach problem
  13. I agree there should be shuttle service where there is a transfer to another line I'm sure they have enough trains out there to provide shuttle service till service is restored
  14. Did you take a video? As a transit enthusiast I would definitely take a video in that situation
  15. some R32s are going to stay on the until there retirement but how many NTTS will be on the at the end of the summer will it be 50% R32/R160
  16. Okay seems clear they finally updated the fleet assignment thing okay so you think this summer swap won't be the end of the R32 put-ins?
  17. they actually pull two trains from the because the requires two less trains during the evening rush IMO the crew are making bad moves if there pulling trains off the during the evening rush the needs extra trains as it is
  18. So the R32s are on the to have as many trains on there as possible?
  19. True I know they can't put them on the Rockaway park because of the whole OPTO service thing I'm saying send the R32 put-ins to the Rockaways so they can get a decent amount of air time not talking about sending them to the shuttle
  20. that's another part of the reason why this swap might be the end of R32 put-ins because of the amount of air time they get on the like I said before they should send them all to the Rockaways from now on and sometimes during the P.M rush the R32s are used as emergency trains
  21. It actually does instead of putting in equipment at the last second and holding up service in case of an emergency the R68/68As will be on the as extra train sets not put-ins or emergency trains at the last second
  22. The replacement trains will probably be the R68/68As from the since during the afternoons the be requires two less trains
  23. My point is that I'm trying to explain why that after this summer swap it will be the end of R32 put-ins
  24. True but service can be held up longer if you are trying to replace that equipment with different equipment from the yard back in 2012 the sometimes got held up at 207 st because the crew decides that a train is not ready for another run so they replace it with an R32 or an R42 ( you're right the full length R32s had its own crew) it would take up to 30 minutes it would be a pain to provide at least decent service with that method back in 2012 that's the main reason that the want to make they a uniformed fleet
