Any info on the X27/X37/X28/X38? I don't mean to use you as a guide lol, but I'm just curious.

Oh, definitely. Took me a good 30 seconds to leave the station (from the turnstile exit). And a similar station, Grand St always has overcrowding issues also, probably even worse than Canal.

There's a machine at Canal St installed today.

Their strategy is farebeating. Btw I witnessed a live installation of an OMNY machine right above Canal St platform today... no vids/pics tho :[

Cost is a factor too as @Lex pointed out, and the Q48 provides local service in Corona that the AirTrain does not. Maybe if the Q48 was made more useful (i.e. an eastward extension so riders can have better coverage) it would provide more of an advantage. Not even worth it... riders will most likely have to transfer to either the Q35 or anyway and considering how long the commute times are there, it would probably just be better to drive/take a cab (although you're probably just being sarcastic anyway)

Sorry but I have to disagree. The Q48 is the airport bus from Flushing. As @bobtehpandasaid, no one is going to want to get off the bus and take the AirTrain at Mets to have their own ride be less convenient for themselves and make it a two-seat ride.

This is at Bay Ridge Av Forest Hills-bound though, so most likely the problem is that they didn't get to send a train out for whatever reason. If it was in a more understandable context, like Bay Ridge-95 St bound during the PM rush, then those waits would most likely be due to everything that we've been discussing. It is fairly common, however, for certain trips to not be sent out. Or there could've also just been an EMS situation, which would probably better explain this. At least Bay Ridge Av riders have the benefit of the being within walking distance.

Not to mention it probably took him forever to get the damn thing on. I would be pissed if I was riding that, I have a feeling some people probably only helped them cuz they wanted the damn train to leave lol.
