  1. The fact that you brought the , , and everything from Jamaica/on Queens Boulevard into this while conspicuously leaving the out is revealing.
  2. Personally, I would've left this thread well alone.
  3. As an aside, am I the only one that sees this and thinks of the CTA?
  4. How should I know? I didn't draft the damn thing.
  5. Maybe because they're trying to get to Fordham, which the Bx30 doesn't serve?
  6. Either that was the result of poor calibration or liars and gullible people.
  7. I can say with ease that this bus route needs some love. I can also say with ease that I have zero confidence that Eric Adams will do anything beyond trying to have his face plastered in newspapers/on TV.
  8. I'm still of the opinion that this should be folded back into LIRR operations instead of trying to cram it into QBL.
  9. Ditto. The only good(?) thing is that it wasn't caused by some idiot forcing the driver into an imminent crash.
  10. Yeah, that's it. It totally doesn't have to do with a multitude of rollsigns per train on a high-frequency route and/or those LCDs.
  11. Perhaps, but I have my doubts about that. After all, 135th Street's layout has an unusual quirk that makes it somewhat similar to DeKalb Avenue.
  12. Let's not pretend that internal combustion engines are inherently better when it's cold or hot, either. They require measures to stop the chemical reactions from happening too quickly or too slowly, to say nothing of needing measures to prevent shit from going up in flames, seeing how they facilitate, well, combustion to provide power for a vehicle's propulsion.
  13. I wouldn't. Fossil fuels take far too long to renew and burning them pollutes the air. I'm not sure if you've actually tried breathing around a diesel locomotive, but I have -- in electric territory, no less. Hard pass. And that price will only inflate so long as we sit on our asses. The sooner it gets done, the better off we'll be.
  14. That's covered under the base order (75 R211S cars out of 535 total R211s).
  15. The isn't going to run with 4 cars with its sky-high ridership. The , on the other hand, is nowhere near where it needs to be to justify longer weekend trains on a regular basis.
  16. Some of these proposals (3's truncation to White Plains, 13's ends being lopped off, 28's canning) are honestly expected. I can't say I'm too thrilled with things like canning the 16 in favor of microtransit (or the 12's service to/from the airport, for that matter).
  17. I think it would be best to keep the M3s geared primarily toward Brooklyn. West Hempstead and the shuttle will help keep the wear down, thereby avoiding the problems we see with the R46s.
  18. How about we just not do that?
