  1. Trains are spaced apart enough where they won't run into each other. 5 minutes between each train, 10 minutes between each individual or .
  2. With the 32s and 42s, they're 10' wide straight across. With the other cars, they're only 10' wide around the belly area, and up to a foot narrower (depending on the car) at the top.
  3. They will get the new scheme once the newer ones get the upgrade.
  4. Current plans state that anything built pre-2010 (everything built before [and including] the NGs) will not get the new scheme. They will keep the blue & white until it's their time to retire.
  5. There's 5 initially coming in. 2 will be for Gleason, 2 will be for West Farms, and the 5th one will stay at Zerega. Once the testing is done, the rest will come in.
  6. I remember all of that...then there was the one set of 32s that ran on the during the rush right before that. ...met a future (ex) girlfriend on it lol
  7. Yes. The will return before the SAS actually opens and will be the weekday Astoria route, while the will be cut back to 57 St-7 Av at all times until they are ready to open the line in December. Things are always subject to change, but this is the most recent plan.
  8. 180 is not returning to service. That and 174 are the only remaining ones, and both are used for work service.
  9. Nope, accommodations must be made at all times. If you're the first bus at the stop, they fall on you.
  10. Ok I'm gonna need everyone to calm down here
  11. I'm hearing both of those as well, but more are leaning to the getting the 160s along with the 179s mainly for the , the getting the 143s, and the 32/42s going somewhere else. Either way, someone getting new trains.
  12. I think you're referring to when the VIIs first came in. If memory serves me right, they were fueled at either Zerega or West Farms at the end of the day, and Gun Hill just used it during the day
  13. Well that was already known, along with the new trucks. I was referring to the other creature comforts
  14. There's almost no space to make a tunnel portal to begin with in Lower Manhattan.
  15. Casual observations from last night: -Interior sign looks wider than on the 160s. Still has the black trim around it. -The FIND map is still the same -Looped interior standee poles. Same ones 9798-9802 have. -Door fault lights are a lot more noticeable as Subway Guy pointed out. They're placed lower on the walls compared to the 160, with a metal oval surrounding it. Other than that, nothing else really special about it.
  16. Sometimes the depot stickers mean nothing. Remember when ENY ran that Orion V for one day? They slapped their own sticker on it and it got shipped out the very next day.
  17. I'm sitting out here right now. As of this post, they took the 3 already delivered and hooked it up to 3011 directly from the truck. 4 of them are connected and 3010 is still waiting outside for its turn to go in.
  18. It's a DOT rule. Supercedes whatever the MTA or the Jersey governor says or attempts to do. It's about the weight limit over the axles of the truck. Added to the fact that the trucks drive slow enough to impede the normal flow of traffic, and make real wide turns. These things are planned months in advance and are done at night to have the least impact on traffic.
  19. Lard o' Lakes had nothing to do with it. It's a DOT rule
