  1. Had to do some digging through Photobucket, but I found a photo of it in Long Island lol ...and another photo of one running on the N41
  2. R.I.P laptop 2008-2016

      RailRunRob

      That was a great run..

  3. Them 700s that went over died along with LIB. Once they came back, they were immediately retired, or just never came back. 9827 was the most infamous one lol It went to LIB, and somehow got into an accident in the rear. They put one of their backs on it, and it came back to Gleason running around with a blue and orange engine panel. Still kept the visible body damage above the panel, then it went to West Farms. They saw that nonsense, and painted the blue stripe over it, but it didn't match the rest of the bus.
  4. Get on the train again earlier, and I see 8317 AGAIN. This time going the other way lol
  5. So earlier this afternoon I took my girlfriend home, and my train was a 160. We get in car 8317. I go back home about an hour later, and I get the same exact set. I'm on the again hours later, and what do you know, 8317 AGAIN lol.
  6. The Vs weren't brought with federal money. The DOT paid for them and when the PBLs formed MTA Bus, all of their buses were inherited.
  7. Every car built after the 143 was built with provisions for CBTC capabilities. It's just a matter of installing it.
  8. Lol where have you been, there's only 2 left in the entire city and they holding on by the skin of their teeth. The interlock stops the bus. It's a pretty heavy, constant brake and the driver can't do anything to stop it until the bus itself comes to a complete stop and the driver disengages the interlock.
  9. Everything built after (and including) the 1200s will get the new scheme eventually. The incoming buses are getting the priority, then everything else.
  10. There is a photo of one on facebook of 674 sitting at the New Flyer plant, with the scheme already applied. Pretty much safe to assume every bus delivered from this point onward will be delivered in the new scheme.
  11. Way too early to be even thinking about that right now
  12. The original plan was to change all of them over to Allisons because it's easier and cheaper to maintain. It took them so long just to change 5075 around, and they determined it'll be cheaper to just leave the rest alone than converting all of them
  13. 7691 (and 7746) both were repowered with a Doosan GL11K engine and they have Allison transmissions now, instead of the usual ZF Ecomat. 7691 was out of service for quite some time (hearing different stories on why, but it wasn't running lol), but it's sitting in Gleason. Maybe for work, possibly actual service, too soon to tell yet.
  14. Ours just repeatedly say "Caution. Bus is turning" in English only. NICE Bus says "Step back, bus is turning" in both English & Spanish
  15. All of the M16 solo stops were retained when they turned it into the 34A ironically.
  16. Rockaway Blvd is a major transfer point, and Skip-stop is pointless for just 2 stops.
  17. Because the will get its own version once CBTC is up and running
  18. Just the incoming XD60s thus far with the new scheme. No word yet on which buses will get it yet.
  19. You're would still have to take the shuttle bus just to get to the . Having people take the or works just fine
  20. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't run. ...Unless you was on the line the entire clocking every single train that ran
  21. The whole point of ending the SBS at Dekalb was to avoid the traffic nightmare that is Broadway. Under this plan, you now got it going up Broadway and subjecting the B32 to the same problems. At the same time, the stop at Woodhull can't accommodate all of those lines terminating there. Bad enough the B15 takes up the lion's share of the spots and the 47 is nearly a whole block (if you count that itty bitty stub of a street called Ellery lol) from Broadway itself.
