  1. Wait, what do they conflict with? There are no 400s and 500s at the moment.
  2. I wonder why they went with 399 as the first number. I thought they were supposed to start at 401.
  3. Other things to note: 1. The standard Q23 terminal back then was at 71st Avenue and Metropolitan Avenue, with a rush-hour extension to today's terminal at Union Turnpike. 2. The Q67 had a rush hour variation to the Hunters Point Ferry. I bet this is what became that first Q69 shuttle. 3. The 1996 Queens map also looks different from the Brooklyn one. The lines are thinner and each of the private companies is represented by one color each. So all Triboro lines are red, all Green Lines are green, etc. Later maps would be changed to the Brooklyn format, but now each company was represented by a different shape.
  4. So you wanna ban a user because other users THINK he's a douchbag or because he's "looking for fame"? Have you met the guy? Have you even had a private conversation with him about this?
  5. It couldn't have been the wild behavior of dozens of other people, right? Again, what is his crime? Did he physically assault people? Did he threaten people? What are his actual infractions? Last I recall, having a YT channel does not break the rules of this forum.
  6. And what? Exactly what is he doing wrong? What is that supposed to mean? You need your moderator status revoked. Seriously.
  7. ......So, uh, do you guys actually have solid, concrete evidence for the guy's supposed crime against humanity? Or are we gonna start banning people because they're supposedly a "fame-hungry douchebag"? Remind me again, what exactly is his crime anyway?
  8. Sounds like someone is a little envious......
  9. 9418 was spotted in Ohio, so the 9400s are on their way.
  10. I thought them map holders were already gone.
  11. That's a very interesting development. The PA already has the infrastructure for it, and their buses are getting up there in age. I just wonder what their numbers will be and who will be retired, probably the OG.
  12. Amtrak AEM-7 in its new Caltrain paint, in preparation for electrification testing.
  13. Jamaica is going all-electric. From the MTA's Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/mta/posts/273422148155944
  14. From the MTA's Flickr account: MTA Acting Chair & CEO Janno Lieber, Interim NYCT President Craig Cipriano, and Acting SVP of NYCT Buses Frank Annicaro were joined at the Jamaica Depot by State Senator Leroy Comrie, Assembly Member Alicia Hyndman, and City Council Member I. Daneek Miller on Tue., December 14, 2021 to announce that construction on a new all-electric bus facility will commence next year, as part of the MTA’s commitment to a zero-emissions fleet. 15. https://new.mta.info/document/68221 The MTA is planning on adding new elevators at: Westchester Square Queensboro Plaza 181st Street Court Square Woodhaven Boulevard 8th Avenue
  16. This 135 Nova LFS contract is the same 50 MTA Bus diesel bus contract that was floating around for a couple of years; now they finally awarded it and exercised an option for an additional 85 buses (50+85=135). My best guess is that if 8755-8963 are the ones coming in now, then 8964-9098 (135) would be MTA Bus. I wonder if that's why they had the HEV buses (both NFI+Nova) be a continuous range (9416-9910) instead of something like 9500-9713 for NFI and 9000-9290 for Nova.
  17. For those keeping track, contract B40673 was the one for 50 diesel buses for MTA Bus that hadn't been awarded yet. They exercised the option for 85 additional buses.
  18. Some kid has been playing around with the depot stickers, placing the old Hudson Pier sticker on top of the Quill sticker on buses.
  19. https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/ny-second-ave-subway-tunnel-gov-hochul-20211124-xdwpezc4mjg5hjy23jxjzl5ezi-story.html This line got me: Acting MTA chairman Janno Lieber said the sky-high price tag was a “bargain.” The delusion with these people, sheesh.
  20. 1300-1629 are the first 330 (257 MTA Bus + 50 NYCT + 23 NYCT SIM23/24). 1630-1971 could potentially be the next 342 (250 MTA Bus + 92 NYCT) if all are Prevost, or some other fleet number if they are MCI. That would be a total of 672 new coaches. If they retire all the older MCIs (D4500CL, D4500CT), and we add the old 390 Prevost (2400-2789) and assume all buses are active and not written off just for the sake of counting, that would be a total of 1062 coaches.
  21. 9628, 9637, 9658, 9664, 9701, 9767, and 9782 have all been out today. Good to see them coming back.
  22. Any word on the number of coaches they're looking at for the next order?
