  1. A 8-car train of R42s have also been saved alongside the R32s. Those R42 cars are not part of the garbage fleet but also used as a protection train or for special occasion. * 4804-4805, 4806-4807, 4808-4809, 4812-4813
  2. With ECH missing just one XD-40 for delivery, the question is, are the older XD-40s able to go back to LGA for service or that they are still needed for training purposes?
  3. 4588 has the bike rack removed. Although, it's parts have been removed and will not be used in passenger service.
  4. They do have all the XD-40s minus one at the depot. Also, JFK has new LFS coming in and LGA getting a few XD-40s in service that can move a few NGs over to JFK. So, that one unit, ECH didn't bother to move it to JFK.
  5. Yes. It's the same with the Nova LFS. One LFS did see service on the Q35, last month.
  6. Rotation, it's like the Next and Old Generation Hybrids that are at that depot by the train close to Beach 44 St. A unit like 3698 or 9043 will be on the Q22 for today but next week, it'll be on the Q6. All the standard local buses are out of JFK but selected 50-60 units out of there go down to Far Rockaway and switch from time. The Express MCIs and Prevosts are their own (Far Rockaway decals are placed). Far Rockaway Local Routes: Q11, Q21, Q22, Q35 and Q41
  7. For the upcoming XD-40 order out of MTA Bus, for JFK, it's said that they'll receive 40 units. However, they'll be split in 1/2: 20 of them will be at JFK while the other 1/2 will be at Far Rockaway for their local routes (example: Q22 and Q35). The numbers can be rotated so they still have the same 40 unit total.
  8. 9282: incoming XD-40 to be delivered to LaGuardia Depot
  9. That part of the consist was involved of the 96 St derailment around early January. It didn’t suffer much damage but used for parts, the other 3 cars may have that effect. 2176 suffered heavy damage back then.
  10. trains are bypassing Mount Eden Av in both directions due to a shooting that happened at the northbound platform. Northbound, the will run express from 149 St-Grand Concourse up to Burnside Av.
  11. Recently, around 5:20 PM, there was a shooting at a train station, Mount Eden Av. Both sides will have trains skipping this station. Thoughts and prayers to those at or passed that station, 6 people were injured: one was killed and five wounded. https://abcnews.go.com/US/6-shot-bronx-subway-station-sources/story?id=107171649https%3A%2F%2Fabcnews.go.com%2FUS%2F6-shot-bronx-subway-station-sources%2Fstory%3Fid%3D107171649&fbclid=IwAR2vzGFaJM6EcKsSI3XO9GGsYuaytmKpVqLXOOlJ03HSC4QrqwIrGbPzN5A
  12. 3000: CP saved for the museum fleet, for the past question if it's retired (only from passenger use). It was decided that it will not be scrapped but being alongside 2185 for MCIs in display.
  13. 9068, 9083 and 9086: incoming Novas being delivered to JFK
  14. That's true. It's not like the Franklin Av and 42 St that has its own car numbers and arrangement. The Rockaway Park is whatever's leftover from the train pool.
  15. I noticed the uses all the R211Ts in-service at once. But, I'm thinking they are at sleep overnight. Usually, with the subway, they'll have like at least 3-6 trains parked at the yard as spares. But not with this class type. Even their own R179s, they have 3 trains as spares.
  16. Yes, but there’s a station restriction to have certain doors open at Clifton. Hence how they are open and close.
  17. It does ruin the fun going out looking for the units yourself to collect evidence as a source (that’s to moves that are confirmed) and lazy without effort. And a shortcut way that leads to dead ends. That’s just my thought. The tracker is okay only if you’re going to school, a place to be or work from A to B looking to see if your bus is coming or not, but not as officially a straight point as it’s finished from what I’ve learned. Also, there are some buses that’s in service but has the tracker broken. Basically, seeing it is better than believing it but that’s my take.
  18. 4081: Eastchester from passenger service to JFK now to Eastchester for scrap. All parts were removed and is currently hooked into a tow truck to the scrap lot. * Said bus did enter service at JFK. However, it’s no longer repairable and not able to run properly so, it’s put to as retired from service.
  19. Towed out of the depot at 5 AM actually. Farebox pulled out yesterday night.
  20. Also, with the 2008 Next Gens being retired at JFK, there are units along with the 2009 units that has version 3, cleverdevice screens. I wonder if they can still be transferrable to other buses. I have yet to see the 4800s in Brooklyn (4810-4899) and the upper 8000 Novas in Queens (8061-8089) with the screens by the rear door.
  21. Swing (break room) or indicator bus at JFK. Indicator is like a obstacle to tell that it's around one of the buses that are retired from service not to use.
  22. 4278 has College Point stickers. They are at College Point, however, the other 2 with it goes to LGA for maintenance.
