  1. I point the finger at everyone. In this case, the whole time, I've pointed it at Nassau County.
  2. It had to be an Orion V. I can't make out the number though.
  3. A lot of those buses that were loaned to Long Island were sent right to Eastchester the day they left Long Island.
  4. Well, at least its not that they're short on drivers like it was at the beginning of the year.
  5. I'll use an example. The bus operators are supposed to make announcements on the bus stops (major ones) before they are passed, so people have the chance to request. city bus operators use the Speakeasy and are required to use them on any bus that is equipped. NICE bus operators don't have that luxury, and none of them make announcements themselves, and when the Clever Devices aren't operating, they're not fulfilling ADA requirements by making announcements. And riders have already complained to NICE about this. That's why NICE is working to fix the Clever Devices up.
  6. What sense does that make? Several routes have multiple programs with both the lowercase and uppercase "n". You can't justify that statement. I've seen some N6s with the uppercase "n." Does that mean the N6 is getting cut?
  7. I remember asking that question. Amtrak7 answered this: From the letters on top of an n17 schedule: "n": Gotham Medium Italic 61pt "17": Gotham Black Italic 61pt The "nice Nassau Inter-County Express" logotype isn't a font, it's actually outlined.
  8. Maybe he knew there was traffic on Old Country Rd? And each announcement has a different volume depending on how it's programmed. Some stops announce loud, some announce very low. NICE has to balance them all out.
  9. Freakin NICE screwed up with the new schedules on the mobile version of their site that I now can't get the schedule of the N20 to Hicksville because it only goes as far as Glen Cove for the N21. That's really stupid.
  10. I think they used to read 165 St Bus Terminal on the NGs and 165th St Bus Terminal on the Orion Vs.
  11. Actually, I was just on a packed N24 going to Jamaica from Hicksville. It was full from halfway between Hicksville and RF. I got off at RF.
  12. I just saw a NICE driver (driving 1667) walk out of Target in Westbury, get into his bus, and drive towards Roosevelt Field. Interesting right?
  13. And the N6 Limited would still be more successful than the N6X.
  14. Well, some drivers did do that on the N88 like you showed a while ago.
  15. Look, Nassau County invested in CNG buses and a CNG system. They should have known, when they made their investment, that there is a very likely chance for the buses to overheat in weather like this.
  16. Your petition had 4 signatures. I don't think NICE was really affected by that. I have seen N21 ridership past Roslyn increase though, with the rush hours only.
  17. They've must of changed something on the N20/21 schedule since its been updated as well. Anyone notice what the changes are?
  18. I took a 1600 coming back on the n23 and the bus (which had no a/c) was crawling up that big hill after the clock tower and everyone was passing us by while we were snailing.
