  1. Just saw 1772 getting towed. I'll upload the video later today.
  2. No way, thats awesome! Thanks for the info. I wonder what route these would be on!
  3. Go to 0:12 in the video. Did NICE always have those? Did Long Island Bus have those?
  4. Because they talked to people who complained that it took so long to get from Hempstead to 179th st and vice-versa. However, those people don't make up enough of the n6 ridership to make it worth-while to ditch a LIMITED and make it an express, skipping all those very important stops.
  5. ...which should have been here the whole time. Its hard to believe some people here believed the n6x was successful.
  6. I forgot to mention those. I used to watch them everyday when I was younger.
  7. Anyone else watch the old nickelodeon in the 90s? Doug?
  8. 1576 is currently broken down in front of North Shore hospital on Lakeville Rd along the n25 route going northbound. I just drove by it.
  9. I was thinking a physical petition that you actually go around in person and ask people to sign. Very few NICE riders go on this forum, let alone even bother to speak up. The petition being online will get very few signatures.
  10. Thats the LIMITED in a nutshell. Can we all just agree that the expresses need to go and the LIMITEDs need to come back. Maybe someone should create a petition or something and go to HTC and 165th st bus term and see what signatures you can dig up.
  11. How could it happen under LIB? They didnt run the n6 express and they wouldn't have because they knew the LIMITED worked. That's why the route stuck around for all these years.
  12. Had those n6 express buses been LIMITEDs, you would have been picked up on the first one. NICE to have Veolia here, isn't it?
  13. They need to just cut this crap, admit they screwed up and bring back the N6 LIMITED.
  14. Well, I guess they would rather have some bus service than no bus service down there, and it's only at night time when the curfew is in place and there probably aren't that many riders at that time anyway.
  15. The n6 LIMITED was more successful than the n6x. It balanced the loads between that and the local much better than the n6x. All the n22s have the same start and end point and run via the same roads for most of the route. There is no reason to rename or renumber the route.
  16. Starting December 30th, Franklin Avenue will be added to the n6x schedule and NICE believes this will help reduce crowding on the n6 local. More changes may be coming soon, but so far, this is the only confirmed change from NICE on their Facebook page.
  17. Oh yeah, with 1791 now painted, the blue stripe isn't there anymore. NICE is making true progress now. Hopefully, they decide to paint all the buses eventually and dump the wraps altogether.
  18. Can we please get an updated chart on the wrapped buses? I'm curious to see what we have left to spot. And if you see ANY buses where the numbers on the buses are italics, the bus is PAINTED (except for 1840 and up which are excluded). Please try to distinguish between the two.
  19. 1736 is in NICE livery. I didn't look close enough to tell if its wrap or paint. The numbers were in scripty italic though.
  20. Well they must have not spent much money on the crappy wraps that they can afford paint I guess.
  21. I can confirm 1789 as well has been PAINTED not wrapped and the numbering is kinda script font, its not the normal font you see on the other buses.
  22. Yeah, nobody is even maintaining this thread anymore.
  23. I don't think its too much, and its better than the crappy wrap they use thats already peeling off.
