  5. So on the weekends, all routes were filled by Mitchel Field?!
  6. When was that? When did MF have enough buses to run all those routes on the weekends? I believe a couple of the buses will go to RVC like every other order, but I'm unsure how many.
  7. When I saw it, I remember it being very shiny like you say. It may well be paint, and forgive me if I said wrapped, but I report these buses as I drive down Northern Blvd every day. I don't have the chance to look closely at whether or not its wrapped or painted, so I really don't know anymore whats wrapped and whats not. I heard they were painting some of the buses where the new wrap was falling off, some of the 1700s. Are you planning to differentiate which buses are wrapped and which ones are painted, as well as which ones have the stripe and which ones don't? Guess more colors are needed on the chart then!
  8. I'm not exactly sure, but I know some routes like the n35 are shared between the two depots.
  9. Orion V 6074 is broken down currently at Little Neck Pkwy & Northen Blvd facing westbound. I type this from my iPhone.
  10. No, they will not be doing that. Only the NGs and 3Gs will have the NICE livery.
  11. You never know. With large orders like this from the government, there may be extra talks with Apple.
  12. Well, maybe this could be a step forward in getting Apple to push their manufacturing jobs to America or the U.S. government can put restrictions on them.
  13. I just saw MCI 2155 get on the LIE heading westbound from Douglaston Pkwy. Nobody was on the bus except the driver and someone in the front talking to him. There were signs posted around the bus that said "NEEDS ENG CRADLE WORK"
  14. I was driving in Bayside today and I saw several Q31-only bus stops that said service Monday thru Saturday. Shouldn't these bus stop signs have been replaced by now?
  15. Alright, I'll say something. This crap about PinePower has to stop. User bashing is not appreciated on this forum no matter who it is directed to. We understand that NICE is an imperfect system (Yes I know, that's an understatement), but do not take that and throw it at other people. Punishment should and will start getting handed out if this BS doesn't end.
  16. Remember at the beginning of the year when NICE said they were saving the most of their money by signing a new fuel contract? I just happened to see today that the provider of CNG fuel to the bus depots is Clean Energy Fuels. I don't know who provided fuel under Long Island Bus, but those of you who experts in this sort of thing, is it really as much savings as NICE says it to be? http://www.cleanenergyfuels.com/
  17. Wow, one of the few times I read a subway thread and I see you're here pissing people off (no surprise actually since you do it in other threads) and dissing moderators. Do you really think this a battle you can win or are you going to cut the crap?
  18. Yea, the real question is whether or not they're going to paint over the buses that were wrapped with the blue stripe already, those three 1700s.
  19. Most of the time, I see those Ford (Escape?) hybrids at Roosevelt Field.
  20. I believe the volume is set per announcement because I've been on several buses both this year and last year where some stops are announced much louder than others and you can easily tell.
  21. Yup, one of the few changes that NICE has made that hasn't bit people in the butt.
  22. 1833 still hasn't been wrapped? LOL Thats exactly what I saw in Freeport but there were a couple more when I was there.
  23. They could be used on the floors in the buses to clean them, but its doubtful right?
