Look, Nassau County invested in CNG buses and a CNG system. They should have known, when they made their investment, that there is a very likely chance for the buses to overheat in weather like this.
Your petition had 4 signatures. I don't think NICE was really affected by that. I have seen N21 ridership past Roslyn increase though, with the rush hours only.
I took a 1600 coming back on the n23 and the bus (which had no a/c) was crawling up that big hill after the clock tower and everyone was passing us by while we were snailing.
When I go to show the routes, I do see the n16 to Baldwin and the 78/79 to Mineola (not RF), but I don't see a problem with the N24 (which says Jamaica - Mineola - Roos.Field - EM) and the 43 (which says Freeport to Roosevelt Field).
More ridership anywhere for NICE is good. And this isn't an interruption at all. 165th st bus terminal would be the terminus of the route and Parsons-Archer would be the stop before and after.
The N35 was rerouted in 2010 off of Corporate Drive to Privado Rd in Westbury to "streamline" the service. There are still old, unused bus stops on Corporate Drive and part of Merrick Rd that have to be removed.
