INDman Posted January 6, 2010 Share #7 Posted January 6, 2010 Was this SIRT R44 402? No, 402 is at 207th Street and will not be going back into service ever. It has been stripped and will be reefed very soon.
R44 5278 Posted January 6, 2010 Share #8 Posted January 6, 2010 Was this loco hauling a set of SIRT SMSed R44s or MTA R44s? If so, what are the numbers?
INDman Posted January 6, 2010 Share #9 Posted January 6, 2010 What they do is they drag one SIR44 down from CIY that had been worked on. Then they tow a new SIR44 to CIY to be worked on. I don't know the car number from last night, I did not write them down. Cross Harbor might know. I did get word that there are only a few left to be worked on. R44 5278 Posted January 6, 2010 Share #12 Posted January 6, 2010 I guessed that this thread should be in the SIRT forum as I overreacted a little when I thought it a NYCT R44 being scrapped.
