SubwayGuy Posted July 9, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 9, 2010 http://gawker.com/5582383/dude-takes-mom-hostage-for-not-ironing-his-clothes Dude Takes Mom Hostage For Not Ironing His Clothes Robert Tyrell is a 29 year-old resident of Villa Rica (translation: "noble small town"), GA. He lives at home with his mom. Things he possesses: male pride, a gun. Things he does not possess: ironing skills, gratitude, problem-solving abilities. Ol' Bobby—can we call you Bobby?—reportedly ordered ma to iron up a fresh batch of clothes, because that is "women's work." But sometimes women need things made absolutely clear. According to the arrest report, [mother] Billie Jo Tyrrell told officials she couldn't get her iron to work and she was trying to read the instructions when her son became irate, pulled out a gun, and took his 51-year-old mother's keys and cell phones and refused to let her leave for at least six hours. Those of you familiar with Georgia are unsurprised. WSBTV Link: http://www.wsbtv.com/news/24173668/detail.html# Send an email to Hamilton Nolan, the author of this post, at Hamilton@gawker.com.
