Future for (K)?

Of course you have subway maps from the 1970-1980's that say that the AA does not run at midnights - that's when the cutbacks for the AA occurred. The AA was the first line to end its midnight service due to the mid-1970's fiscal crisis!

As I clearly said PRIOR to that time, the AA ran at ALL HOURS except the rush hours. The world of transit did not just start in the 1970's.

The City University had free tuition for 128 years, until the mid-1970's fiscal crisis. From 1847 to 1976, for 129 years there was free tuition at all of the public city colleges, until the city's mid-1970's fiscal crisis. However if you talk to any of the current students they'll look at you as if you were crazy to say that there USED to be free tuition. Just because something occurred in the past for a very long time does not negate its existence because it is not being done now.

(Y) Yes, but only if the MTA were to run out of letters. It also sounds alot like the word "why".

And so do a lot of the letters already in use (and soon to be in use)…

  • (;): Bee

  • (C): See

  • (G): Gee (a general exclamation)

  • (J): Jay

  • (Q): Cue, Queue

  • (R): Are

  • (T): Tee (from t-shirt)

Back in the day, the 70(AA) would run at all times except rush hours. The 70(CC) ran rush hours. They never ran together as Eighth Avenue locals. During rush hours, the 70(AA) became the 70(:) from 168th Street-Broadway. Today, the (M) is the restored 70(K) between 53d Street-Sixth Avenue and Myrtle Avenue.
