New BL20GH 125 in Metro North service on the Waterbury Branch

Recommended Posts

The good news is that 125 is finally in revenue service but the bad news is that it's reported that its HEP unit had problems this afternoon. Ouch, bad day to have electrical outages. I heard that they bustituted passengers.

Here are some photos I took this morning before it got too hot.

Evidently there are some new engine bugs to work out:confused:

HEP units breaking down... at least it means more HP to the wheels for those on the train at the time, making for a possibly shorter faster trip. :)

Hello,

OUTSTANDING PHOTOS! I really liked them. In regards to the HEP issues its a similar situation to the problems NJ Transit had with the PL42AC diesel locomotives when they were first delivered.
